I updated the Faction status, because it was sorely in need of a change...interesting note, the banner seems to be missing, can someone confirm?
Changed the History to something a little more current, and tied in a sort of opportunity for some rp between the QCR and the QCO, along the lines of noble/commoner interaction, but softened that up a bit, so that its really more of a joke that all the QCO are nobles and the QCR are not...though the Windsor pair are nobles of some rank (not landed, though...) and anyone is free to claim some noble rank if they wish..(not everyone, please, this isn't rhienland, its a free and equal nation.)
' Wrote:Exasperated by the lack of success of the Admiralty Board's strategies, Richard Windsor, then a Vice Admiral of the Bretonian Armed Forces and a voting member of the Admiralty Board, pulled in favors among the gentry to push legislation granting him command of a handpicked fleet through the people's delegates and onto the Queen's desk, where she validated its somewhat illicit intentions. The Queen Carina's Own was formed, entirely independent of Board oversight, from among Windsor's loyalists. The QCO soon absorbed the privateer wing commanded by Andrew Stuart, and continued to successfully run strikes deep into Kusari space beyond the Tau patrols. After an extended struggle, the Board reasserted its control over the fleet, adding in another flottilla, the Queen Carina's Regulars, and instigating a triumvirate command structure consisting of the three commodores, with Windsor as liaison to the Board.
Although the Queen Carina's Own was originally drafted almost entirely from the gentry, and the Regulars were pulled from the official fleet and as such reflected the general socioeconomic distribution of Bretonia, there are no longer such distinctions of social class present, though there remains a friendly competition between the QCO 'bluebloods' and the Regulars.
Also added a bit about Molly diplomacy, hoping to make a move towards some negotiations and a possible Dublin Protectorate. (thinking the queen says the BMM can fend for themselves in Dublin and extends an olive branch...Risky move, politicaly, and there will be fallout...Perhaps Wellington could play a role in that?)
Quote:Currently, the Board is pursuing negotiations with the Molly rebellion, with hopes to establish a Dublin protectorate, policed and legislated by Dubliners, and defended by a Molly/BAF joint force. Mollies are to be treated as lawful denizens of the queen's domain, given they behave accordingly. If requested, the BAF will support the mollies.
Comments? Questions? Ideas?
Open to everyone who has thoughts.
If members of the QCRF could also post character names, ranks, and capships if they have them, that would help lots.
Anyone looking for More BAF/Bret royal RP, the BAF bar and the Queen's Court have been sitting empty for a long time.
Richard Windsor, Commodore, [QCO]Pendragon (Dunkirk)
Sam Windsor, Captain
Juno Kietan, not ranked.
Fortunatus Wright, Commodore of the QCP. No caps. Don't know what happened to the Queen's Ransom since Andrew Stuart's mysterious disappearance.
I've handed Richard Starkey a field promotion to Commander. According to the last rollcall I did a few weeks ago there's just me, Richard Starkey, Steven Aldridge and Jack Archer active. Not seen Edward Hawkins online for an age, and I don't think I've ever seen Luke Crowley on. Though I've not been online a lot myself. Hopefully they'll both post here.
My character, Commander Bryns, will be added when i get more time in-game, and time to work on my other, non RM characters. Leave me off the roster for now, thanks.
