The years of mining without regard to the environment, as you know, has polluted the air on Planet Pittsburgh. And I am now very concerned about the health of our employees, their families, and our guests. I have discussed this with Mr. John Doe and with your reputation you are the only company we trust, with the means to do the job right the first time.
We require a complete clean up of the air on Planet Pittsburgh. Preferably without disruption the lives of the people living and working there.
I am not going to pretend I am educated in the area of terraforming so therefore I am not sure if this can be done, which brings me to the following questions: Is this able to be done, if so, how long will it take and what do you require in regards to payment?

Mrs. Doe,
I believe some of our employees have had the chance to speak to you, and I am glad that I too have that opportunity.
I haven't had the pleasure of visiting Pittsburgh and witnessing the mining operations, or indeed the polluted air, but I have heard stories, and it is such a shame that a great monument to modern industry is sullied by bad air.
As you can probably imagine, this is a rather large scale operation and I cannot guarantee that it will not cause some disruption to the inhabitants, but we shall endeavor to minimise such disruptions as much as is financially viable.
As this is no small contract, I will have to present the request to the Board, which convenes on a regular basis. I will contact you once a decision is reached.
Until then, thankyou for your interest in Planetform.

Mrs. Doe,
My profound apologies for the lateness of my reply, there were certain logistics that needed to be worked out before I came to you with a reply.
I can tell you that the Board voted with a total majority to accept your request, and since then our Logistics Department has been drawing up plans for the operation. Some important things Deep Space Engineering need to consider before entering a contract with us for this request, are as follows;
This operation's current estimated time of completion is mid 824 AS.
The estimated cost is Fourty-Five billion (45,000,000,000) Sirius Credits.
DSE can subsidise 20% of this cost by providing the labour required for installation. Automation is preferred, due to the ease of training. Automated labour will decrease the cost by a further 5%, to a total of 25%. Please note that this will require housing and upkeep (sustenance/repair), either way.
DSE operations on the planet will need to be shut down, one at a time, for two weeks at a time (on average, this will depend on the size of the facility) for the installation of filters to your industrial facilities. This can be done in a manner that minimises loss to DSE, within reason.
There may be rare cases of allergies to the chemicals used in cleaning up the atmosphere in the citizens of Pittsburgh, as such we recommend people with those allergies are moved off-planet for the duration of the operation. Details will be given at a later date so you can identify these people. Planetform Incorporated will accept no responsibility for sickness, injuries or fatalities as a result of these gases.
Otherwise, there is no risk to citizens of Pittsburgh, other than the obvious construction danger (Planetform Incorporated is compliant with Liberty Construction Codes).
We're still a ways away from drawing up a complete contract, but if you find these terms agreeable, we can begin that process soon.
This all looks to be in order, I personally do not have a problem with any of the points you have mentioned, but I have passed this on to the President for a board discussion, as I am sure you will understand, that is no small amount of credits. If a payment plan can be put in place, I see no reason as to why this will not go ahead.
A response is to be expected in the next two working days.
Thank you,
Mrs. Jess Doe
