Now before anyone thinks I'm trying to get around sanctions, I'm not, nor am I to be sanctioned but, a few moments ago, I had a power surge and luckily have a UPS installed so my computer doesn't get fried. However, what does happen is that I lose my internet connection for a few moments which probably makes it seem like an F1, not actually too sure.
What I would like to know is this. If this were to happen to me whilst fighting or interacting with people and even if I was able to get back online and type in the 'Disconnection' thread but still the person decided to file the sanction report, is there a) a way to prove the power surge, rather difficult considering it being almost immediate with little time to react and b) a way to set up a specific character that the mods/admins could raid instead of the character that got disconnected? I understand most F1 sanctions are in the region of 100 million credits and I would prefer to lose those instead of Codename weapons which can be a pain to replace even if they do cost 100 million as well.
If I am in combat and lose conn, I take a screenshot showing the red lag indicator and the enemy ships on my scanner. Take another when you get the disconnected message, the same ships will still be on the scanner.
Post in the disconnected thread, state that you have screens, and save them for a couple of weeks.

Tis the problem with a power surge, no electricity and very little time to react before the computer switches off. The UPS only allows for about less than 30 seconds to do anything and that's if my graphics card isn't chomping the watts. During freelancer the graphics card is working and thus if I do get a power surge, it's immediate, not 30 seconds but about 2 seconds, you get my point.

You always try that and most of the time it will work, obviously. I'm talking when it doesn't work out or you don't have time to get the proof needed or when, in the case of a power failure, you cannot log back on for an extended period of time. What to do in those circumstances? Don't know? Nor do I. Seems a specific ship with enough credits on it, saves you the time and hassle of losing Codename weapons and the hassle of acquiring them again and at least allows you to prepare for the inevitable.
