If you read up on the lore of the Corsairs and a lot of the groups they are fighting against you can see that they are pretty much always beating back Corsair attempts at expanding their territory, but from what I know, the Corsairs have not gained any territory in... well I have no idea since when.
Corsairs should be violently expanding into the Sigmas, Rheinland space and Bretonian space. Corsair presence in both of theses houses are negligible or non existent. At the same time very few Corsairs are in the Sigmas where the main fighting with the Outcasts should be happening.
I had an idea that we can stimulate this Corsair expansion a bit more with a couple strategically placed outposts.
One in Sigma-19 in the Gikka cloud to allow them to poke the Outcasts and GMG. Yeah I know Crete is only a few jumps away but I don't see an issue with a foot hold here, it would stimulate activity in the region from all sides.
An outpost in Omega-15 perhaps, gives a good launching point into Rheinland while giving the Hessians a big threat to worry about, Omega-15 basically going straight to their back door.
Finally a base in Omega-49 or perhaps Cambridge to give the Mollys and Bretonians something to actually worry about. I would also like to suggest beefing up the NPC patrols in areas that were actually getting invaded... but granted this invasion thing seems to have been on the back burner for a while under the 'mustering their forces' guise. When the Corsairs do break out, I figure this could be something to consider.

Probablye yes, but thing is: untill TBH will give orders, all indies will just stay on Gamma orbit as ''guardinas''
Id personally would love to send my Titan and Imperator to battle front. lets say Titan for Omegas and Imperator for Sigmas
I've always been in favor of placing a small Corsair outpost in the Gikka Dust Cloud. An Osiris base there would be really nice. It's soundly in Corsair territory, although a bit close to the front lines, so it would be possible for the Corsairs to get a base there. The fact that it's a dust cloud and not an asteroid field means it would have to be human construction, though, so a Battleship might make more sense than a base.
But when it comes to Omega-49, you can kind of consider Gran Canaria a Corsair base anyway. If you read the news in the area, you'll find that the Zoners sold the location of the Dublin Jump Hole to the Corsairs in return for defending the system against the Bretonian government and the Mollies. That's a well forgotten fact by the Zoner population here, but it stands as lore. A base there really isn't necessary.
What would really help the Corsairs, though, would be the removal of the exceedingly silly Lisburn Rock. It's right in the middle of Corsair patrol paths in a system with no Mollies. How much sillier can you get!?

Corsairs are stuck at a stalemate with the Hessians and Mollys.
They may be more powerful than any of the enemies they face but they face a lot of enemies, across a large area.
Casablanca, which was taken by the Hessians, is now back in Corsair hands.
I would say that the Corsairs are at that 'pre-expansion' bit.
They aren't powerful enough to be able to throw a fleet at anyone and conquer them, they need time to build up, which is what they are doing.
If you read the rumours you'll see there's calls for another Rheinland invasion as well as one into Dublin.
Who knows what the next updates will bring.
What would be useful is folks discussing possible scenario's, much like Fletcher does.
Devs do work based on what we think will improve gameplay and create more fun for the community but it isn't always easy to see if there is actual serious demand for certain things.

corsairs still want to got Dublin and Omega 7 to its hands. and in Vanilla was clearly sayed about their invasion to rheinland. so I think time to leave Crete and go to pew some BAF/RM/Mollys/other one who stands on Sairs way
Viva la Crete! Viva la Corsair! :D
Corsairs would be unable to hold any ground anyway, capturing something means a lot of logistic problems, and they're already starving at their home. Not to mention that they just started yet another war. This looks more like that time when Westfallen and LD-14 were lost.

when corsairs expand and take over planet cambridge or stuttgart - what then? when they finally have food to feast on? they would defend against entire fleets of military ships inside enemy territory. how long do you think it would last? such an offensive expansion can not be accomplished with the constant raiding the corsairs are experiencing at the moment. it would mean doubling the amount of war fronts they have now. and unless they would move their entire infrastructure and population to one of those planets within a VERY short time.
orbital bombardment is not an option here, since that would destroy the very reason why they look at those planets.
an optimal scenario would be to build up some decent force and wait until bretonia is COMPLETELY sieged by both GRN and kusari at the same time, so the BAF would be spread thin. it's not a problem to take over a planet for 2 hours. it's a problem to keep it under your control.
a good commander wins the campaign first, and then goes to battle. any other tactic results in failure.
