Quote:1.2 Server administrators will impose sanctions on players for violating server rules and for any actions that harm server gameplay.
Consequences:
We have applied the punishment we gave out to the two people you maliciously reported with only sufficient evidence to get them sanctioned. a deeper reading of the situation proved without a doubt that you're actions were premeditated. We are not happy. Two of your ships have been punished as the two of them were. Do not try this stunt again.
Anyone else who thinks this is cute, be warned:
We will hit you so hard your ships will spin in space for a week
If you post in this sanction and are not directly involved or a leader of the accused person's faction be advised that you are consenting to be subjected to the reprisal of my choice which may involve in game repercussions up to a ban.
Blaming members of your immediate family, neighbours, friends, pets, and assorted Orcs, Trolls and any other legendary creatures may result in the use of Admin Right #CTE 750AE

Premeditated? What? I don't see in anyway how they were not breaking the rules, and then I get punished? Please send evidence via PM, I didn't have any malicious intent [Although I can pretty much follow your line of reasoning...this is not the case here]
You posted a sanction for no RP engagement, and yet there was RP, before you jumped to a new system. All of that should have been included, all of it. You chose not to. We call that malicious.

That was the first time I encountered them, and I escaped. I came back at a Later time and they were still there, that was a different encounter and therefore i did not see it as necessary to include it in the report, as I was talking about the second encounter. I recall somewhere that if you meet the transport again at a different time, you have to issue a new demand, is this not true? I even tried to avoid having to file one at all letting them know they had to issue another demand, which is where the unreasonable one came while I was under fire. My motives were not malicious, and I based my arguement of rulebreaking on that encounter. If i was wrong in this regard I am sorry as it was a mistake on my part.
7 minutes. That's hardly some time later. A chase can last 7 minutes. We believe that this is the case. If you have enough evidence to prove that you were not in fact chased, then we'll simply sanction nobody.

I escaped when I jumped into the new system and they did not follow. I proceeded to dock on the freeport [Surely you have data that shows this?] A witness named Firebrick.Reaver [i think thats the right punctuation]
saw me at the station with no pirates anywhere near and me docking. I asked him to go kill those pirates for his next paycheck, told him it was a gunboat and bomber. After he went into the system I waited at the jumpgate for a few minutes, then, figuring he had engaged or driven them off, jumped into the system. They were not there, I docked with the lane, saw them on long range scanners, and tried to fly over them [but failed]...thats where the previous report takes place. I don't think i have any screenshots that show this and at the moment am not at my computer so when I get home sunday I'll see if I have anything...but in the meantime If you can check what I've said I would appreciate it. Signing off for the night.
The fact that after you escaped the pirates initially and then tried to hire a merc to go after them, proves that the encounter was not over, but was still going on.
That, and the brief timespan between encounters, should have been enough for you to realize that the demand they gave was still valid.
You mentioned in your rules violation report that you came across the pirates, and that you escaped. You failed to mention that they did give a reasonable demand. Your pics showed only the conversation that would paint them in the worst possible light. We were not given a clear picture of your entire encounter with them and we believe this was an attempt at 'sanctionlancer' in order to get back at those that killed you.

I did not hire the merc, I merely suggested that he might earn his next paycheck with those two pirates [referencing static bounties people post, like 2mil for a smuggler etc..] As for the timespan 7 minutes is a long time of just sitting in a freeport waiting, and I figured once you escape that the encounter is over. As for chat I posted the second encounter, which in my view had nothing to due with the first, It was a totally different encounter as I keep stating. Again, I did not feel as if the first encounter was relevant which is why I did not post it which was my mistake. I realize that some gamers get angry or upset when they are blown up and understand your viewpoint but I am merely trying to convey the point that their was no malicious intent, I truly believed they had broken a rule and took action.
