I notice on the Zoner ID, holders are not allowed to dock ships with more than 3600 cargo in house space. There are 2 or 3 exceptions but by and large they're restricted to 3600 in house space.
May we know the reason for this? Zoners usually bring in goods from the outer planets to the inner planets. It seems to be one of their reasons for being. Restricting their profits and therefore the goods that are available to the inner planets seems counterproductive.

As I know, it restricted about zoner neutrality and the price of the whale. By the way, its based on roleplay I think. As a whale owner I can say, you could earn enough (or more) profit without using house spaces. There are a lot of well profitable trade routes.
In 4.85 the normal Zoner ID was limited to 3600, and the Zoner Guard was the way the normal Zoner ID is now. But due to the fact that zoner guard ID was removed, the whole thing is simply mashed up together.
Abuse of the Zoner Guard ID/Zoner ID to allow for power trading hiding behind the ID. This meant there were a ton of silent Zoner Guard ID'd players running around (the two IDs have since been consolidated).
There isn't any role play to support it, it is a balance issue. You're free to have another player in a smaller ship unload your goods for you.

Ok. It's a balance issue. Still don't understand about abusing a guard ID to do power trading. I thought that's what Zoners did. What about Bowex traders? They do power trading all the time. Oh well, being a balance issue answers my question. Thanks

Thats why there are FP in every house border, FP play its role as zoner's storage house, zoner's big truck drop their cargo on FP, then smaller zoner's truck distribute the cargo to house space
