Diary Title: First Day
I should introduce myself to whomever is reading this, the name is Joe Nikle. Born on the Ocean Planet of Curacao on 797 A.S., I have attended to Long Island Complex High School, and graduated with the traditional diploma after completing all major courses in academics on 813 A.S. Being that I had little to no S.C. (Sirius Credits) I failed to attend at Colleges that can support me with a good educational background on my life history. After searching for random jobs, my parents and sisters decided to move to Planet Manhattan surface to restart a new life which could also help me on searching for a new career. Hopefully it is a promising Planet to grow a new life out of.
Being said that, on the way on-board the shuttle that was preparing to depart from Planet Curacao to Planet Manhattan's surface there was few broachers I picked up from the seats before me that I sat on. Few were redundant, but unlike one it had caught my interest . It stated on the front cover "Join the Liberty Navy TODAY!"; it said. I slipped it into my carry-on luggage to read about it later in the day, hoping for a relaxed moment. The flight attendants close the boarding doors as it was a sign that the shuttle was getting ready for lift-off. Around few minutes later, the pilot spoke out-loud on the communication link stating, "Ladies and Gentlemen, and of course children, I am hoping everyone is feeling very well this morning. Hopefully the ride shouldn't give anyone "space sick" as I like to call it that way. Anyways, fasten your seat belts as my Co-Pilot and I get you safely and sound to Planet Manhattan!". The shuttle elevated slowly but steady as it fully drifted forward at certain height. Minutes later we were getting out of the planet atmosphere as the shuttle was flying steady over to a Trade Lane. However, while initiating the trade lane's from Cortez to California Jump Gate, 3 security escorts join our shuttle. The escort ships looked like large birds as I look through the windows, they were known as "CTE-6000 Eagle Fighters", or as I over-heard a bit few seats in front of me about it.
On the way through the Trade Lane, I felt that my stomach was being pulled through the seat I was sitting on. I looked at my father thinking if something was wrong but his reaction was a smile in his face, "Relax... nothing to worry about! Just G-Force, I'm sure you heard about it in your studies." he said. My fright was calm as I looked around and everyone on-board were calmed. My Mother tapped me on my left shoulder; "Wait till you feel when we go through the jump gate...", she smiles. But wow, was it another scary ride!
-NEW YORK SYSTEM-
The shuttle made it safely to Planet Manhattan's Orbit, thank god, and the escort fighters broke out from formation as each of them activated their cruise engines. As the shuttle was making way to the Sky Orbital Elevator or known as to many pilots "Docking Rings" the interior of the ship became brighter but it was getting darker actually. A little girl screamed across the ship, "Mommy look - a big ship!" I was wondering what she was screaming about, so I removed my safety buckles and walked over on a larger window to get a better view. The First thing I saw were the Liberty insignia that was hull-plated on its very forward end of it - it was my first and last time, up to this day, that I saw my first Liberty Dreadnaught being escorted with Liberty Siege Cruisers and military fighters. It was an exciting moment to be honest.
Our shuttle had received the clearance to proceed into Planet Manhattan surface. Until now, my family and I are staying at my Father's Friend Apartment until we are settle comfortably with the Manhattan's life style.
