Hussar and Phantom rock. Hard. Their turning is better than you'd think because the distance between the nose and tail is very short, so it doesn't have to turn as much. Very fun to fly, but not imbalanced.
Ja, Tiger Shark is harder to hit than most any other LF. And Phantom has just generous hull for the agility it has. Liberator is their god. Haven't tried the Griffin but I had the impression that it could have the same wing losing problem as Eagle and the civilian line has. Hussar should be pretty good as it looks way too small. We had had an old discussion already about a possible boost on Decurion, which most agreed on. Need to test the Loki, Scimitar and Wyrm to have a broader opinion..
Wing loss and the like isn't a problem for LFs, really. They die to one explosion anyway, so the chances of losing a wing is rather slim for the most part.

Have you tried everything in the game?
MMM :D
Not yet.. still not the Hussar, Griffin, The BD fighter (I don't think I will), Werewolf, Hammerhead and all Nomad ships. And most off all.. never any Viper (but from fights I see it as quite good..and chopper tells me it's great aiming platform.. but I'm not really BSG-in-Freelancer fan.
I also just started trying my first 2 GBs.. and they are uber... met 4 Ros guys (2 Falcatas, 2 Sabres) and one Corsair GB(junker) in Tau37 today. It was my 4th pvp in a GB... and I killed 2 Sabres, 1 Falcata, 1 Falcata run with all guns yellow... and in the end the Corsair GB died also.

Executioner... is a not-fully made HF... if the armor/power and guns got boosted to Hammerhead/Taidan stats.. it would be nice HF.. now it's not really usable for anything.

EDIT: Tigershark is actually not that small for a LF.. much easier to hit than Liberator for me.
Igiss says: Martin, you give them a finger, they bite off your arm.
Hands down the Liberator is the best out there, even carries more bot/bats then the Slipstream.
The Slipstream is pretty awesome, I just hope they don't make the hit box go the other way with it when they fix the bug. Its problem is you sneeze and lose your class 7 and counter measure. Sneeze twice and there goes the class 8s and your shield.
Loki is pretty cool, it turns like a madman, but is not as good as the scimitar IMO. It's too big. If the scimitar wasn't so fragile to explosives and missiles I would use it over the slipstream in a heartbeat. With it's turret it has more firepower then the slipstream. When people didn't use mines, I would last a lot longer in it as opposed to the slipstream.
No one mentioned the phantom. Thats a fine ship too. I used one as a merc for a while.
Don't really know which one's the best but the best I've flown is the Liberator
I do know which ones are the worst though, hands down the Bloodhound and the Hyena, bigger, slower, one less gun and not enough power to fire them all for any decent length of time. Do not fly these ships, ever. *Says the leader of the Liberty Rogues who ensures that all new recruits are flying Hyenas* Pity my Rogues.
Saint Del is considered a holy healer of diseases of children, but also as a protector of cattle.
The Hussar is the only LF I have ever killed things in Solo. I tend to fly fighters as if they were the bricks I'm used to piloting, so if I can shoot something down and it isn't a Saber then it probably needs a nerf:lol:
But seriously, I lurves mah Hussar. That girl is one fine dodger, almost impossible to hit, and a decent power supply for the guns she supports.
EDIT: Oh, and I imagine the Scimitar would be useful if it was flown by somebody who knows how to Not Die...I hate mine. Mia never sees the light of day anymore.

I honestly don't have experience even encountering anything but the Phantom or Loki. I flew the Phantom once, and even then, only for a bit, and not in PvP. Seemed alright, but I wasn't in it long enough to form any real opinion.
The Loki, on the other hand...
I remember once, when I was on my RM char, when myself and I think it must've been three or four other RMs were fighting a Hessian in a Loki. Admittedly, one or two of them was in a bomber, but still, we should've done at least some damage to it. After what I think was an hour, the Loki disengaged because it was taking too long. We couldn't damage it, it couldn't damage us.
