Dear house police official factions.

Is there a way for indie police pilots to report house law breakers outside of sending a message in the comm section of the forums? I realize that a report database might be silly as you would think "why not just join the official faction" but that's beating a dead horse here and there are some times you have a char for extreme boredom that you don't use often.

So basically... in-RP place to put notice of unlawful activity; is there one for each of the official house polices?
If not, should there be?

I guess that indies may use the same Message Dumps as the factions;
simple as that.

If the sub-forum is open, you can make a new thread in it. I've done that a couple of times.

Posting in official faction thread AND even in the subsection felt awkward to do even for me so I can't imagine some brand new member who maybe wanted to try and get involved in RP would never even dare try it.

I think making something open and obvious might promote forum RP in those that normally might not have.

I have posted in the Liberty message dump several times regarding incidents I feel are important. Such as blockade runners, piracy and various large scale engagements with the Rhienland Military. However I'd advise you look into who your best off informing rather than just going with the same faction your in.

I have, despite being in the LN, reported several incidents to the LPI as well though thier report system.

Liberty did have a criminal database a while back along with a googledoc page however, I am unsure on how much it is used.

The Liberty Lawful Message dump seems to be a bit of a free-for-all at the moment as far as Factions and Indies are concerned.

^ That's the criminal registry channel. I think it's exactly what you're looking for.

There was a sig here, once.

Problem with the Criminal registry/database. It is not up to date, or is it ever looked at.
I got 2 chars on it from 1 year ago,and 6 months ago. I can,and have sat these chars right infront of [LN] =LSF= LPi and none of them even question weather i am legal, or wanted.
Unless kept up to date, and a way to check them in game? they are pointless. Like really. Are you going to tell a char to "halt" "wait while i check Database" He will bugger off second you go check.

There's really nothing you can do besides sending them an official message or posting in the dump.

Criminal Databases are silly anyway. No one really uses them. Technically my Junker is a wanted man in Rheinland, but he flies by Police and Military on a rather regular basis.

Speaking as the 2ic of the BPA,
I understand your awkardness in posting in he message dump or subsection, personelly I find it annoying when people post things in the BPA main section since those areas are there to make life easy for anyone looking for information on the faction and having a bunch of reports in it would make it hell for people who are not in the faction to know whats offical and whats not. The message dumps would be really for the offical memebers unless otherwise mentioned, I know some factions who have a open message dump to all allies and affiliates.
But back on subject, for the BPA theres an Investigations section where reports of illegal activies are made. It's regularly looked at and even if the list isn't updated straight away it'll have been mentioned in the chat, and despite what Baconsoda said in the BPA we try to keep an eye out for Wanted crimanls (Mostly since the buggers escaped and we want to pound them into scrap but incentive is incentive).
Should you wish to keep your report private for whatever reason just send it to the Main BPA Account and it'll be spotted and dealt with.
Just remember when reporting something, SS everything and send it. If it doesn't have a SS to back it up it didn't happen.
