This morning, two Gateway shetland class transports were hijacked in the Omega 3 system between Freeport 1 and Alland shipyard. Our vessels were carrying MOX and H-Fuel for use by the Bretonian Armed Forces when they were stopped by five Molly ships; 2 shire class transports, a pirate transport, a barghest and a werewolf. Instead of credits, these pirates demanded the full contents of our cargoes.
Being severely outgunned we had no choice but to comply with their directives. Upon transfer of the fuels, the Mollys departed towards Freeport One. Our ships turned to dock at Alland Shipyard for safety as a group of what we think were Corsairs announced themselves in the system. The two sets of pirates apparently encountered each other as our comms noted the destruction of first a Corsair vessel and then the loss of both a Molly and Corsair ship due to collision. Before reaching the IMG shipyard, a docking message was noted by the communications system for one of the Molly ships.
The Molly ships involved in the piracy of our transports were:
[M]-Dublin.Rose (barghest)
[M]-Sand.Witch (pirate transport)
[M]-Brigid.MacDonald (werewolf)
Molly.Malone (shire)
Molly.Pitcher (shire)
Be assured that Gateway Interstellar will do its utmost to supply the Bretonian Armed Forces with its much needed fuels. Our transports are already underway back to Rheinland to procure more of said cargoes. We wish to inform Her Majesty's government as well as Freeport One that acts of piracy are escalating in the Omega 3 region.
We have received your report and I am glad that none of your pilots was hurt.
We are sorry to hear that you have been robbed of your cargo and I asure you we make this case out top piority. I will make sure myself to find said individuals and bring them to justice. Please send us following data as these will be used as futher evidance in future trial:
1. Guncams of this robbery
2. Any scans of the ships
3. Any evidance about those ships stationed on FP1
If you find any other guncam evidance including this event we would like you to send it to us as well. I will dispatch addition patrol wings in that sector to make sure the lanes are clear now. Please note that we have a big space to cover and since our resources are limited we can't keep Snowdown under 24/7 surveillance. We will do our best to keep this territory under constant control but like I said our forces are limited.
For now, best is to hire addition escorts or scouts and proceed in groups, convoys to provide security for your shippments. You can always ask Bretonia Police Authority officer that is currently on duty for escort and he will help you if he isn't currenlty occupied with anything else.
