Greetings Corfu base administrator. Because of the increasing hostilities between
the alien race and The Order as well as IMG and Outcasts, I'm hereby requesting
your permission to take command over a single "Corvo" cruiser class deep space
exploration vessel. Zoners, so I've heard while I was staying on Ames research
station, are big proponents of research and exploration, so I've decided to come
to you first, hoping you will understand my need for such a vessel.
I'm a psychologist undergoing medical training on planet Kyushu that takes great
interest in exploring uncharted space and human mind. I'm also proficient at
leading teams of scientists to help me conduct surveys as well as interviewing
people and presenting it in a comprehensible and exciting manner. However, due
to my insatiable curiosity, my crew and I are in constant danger of being exposed
to high amounts of radiation as well as plasma and laser fire. For that reason, we
need extra protection, room and higher grade shields then my current "Uruz"
transport class vessel can offer.
I intend to use the vessel for exploration, research and defense of lawful ships
and in no way intend to help those that would wish to harm the Zoners. Please
take this into consideration and respond as soon as you can, so I can continue
doing my research project.

I would like to ask you for a scan of your repchart as well as some more information about your connection to IMG. Are you IMG's employee? Or maybe subcontractor?
I also have to say, that the agreement we might sign will allow only self-defence use of any weaponry mounted on said Corvo class cruiser.
As you probably know, this vessel has been designed to perform deep-space research in harsh environment of outer systems. It wasn't designed for any kind of assault operation so I doubt you could assist anyone. And as zoner, I wouldn't like it to be involved into any fights between "lawfuls", "unlawfuls", good or bad guys... as theese are very jubjective terms.
If you're also interested in buying zoner weaponry, I suggest you to contact Cornucopia Manufacturing & Shipbuilding - OSI subsidiary dealing all the weapon production.
Our staff has informed me of this communication and I wish to provide the following information:
The Corvo class ship Miss Arin intends to use is one that has recently been decommissioned from service at Freeport One. In particular, the vessel was undergoing refit since late November and it was determined that it was no longer suitable as a front line defense patrol vessel. It has since been retasked and equipped for scientific research purposes.
Freeport One is satisfied as to the validity of Miss Arin's employment with the Independent Miner's Guild research department, and it is my understanding that the Sea Spirit corporation will be funding a large portion of the intended research. Once approval is granted, the ship will be fitted with the necessary IMG transponders.

Mister Raven from Freeport One suggested that I make a reply here. Sea Spirit has an interest in Miss Arin's work and her research request as a part of IMG came to the attention of our staff looking for unique funding opportunities. If the Zoners approve of the purchase of the research vessel in question, Sea Spirit corporation will be funding the bulk of the research for this project for IMG.
We will also fund the purchase of the the Corvo research ship. Once approval is obtained, message my staff on where to send the funds for the purchase.
I'm very glad that the Corvo is going to serve people we can trust.
However, I will still require ship's repsheet dump. It's a formal requirement.
As to payment for maintaining service capability of our shipyards, I can imagine two options:
- 30 million sirius credits transferred to CoF bank
or
- Full access for CoF to any research data gathered by this vessel.
I can assure you that your data will be as safe in CoF hands as the Corvo in yours.

Thanks on putting in a few good words about me gentleman, I appreciate it. The
sheet is in the attachment, as per your request Mr Cogito, I assure you I'll take
great care of the vessel I'm requesting.
As for the payment, I'd like to propose a counteroffer. I'm willing to part with
some credits and share the data, but not give you full and unrestricted access, so
I'll think about the wording and reply in about eight hours from now.
Your repsheet... seems... adequate.
Well, in fact, I had to ask my assistant to check it as... well, it seems that after all this time I've spent doing paperwork, I need some eye treatment.
About your counteroffer... Well, I think I might agree on that, however, we will have to write down some specifics.

Here's my offer:
1) I'll pay 15 million credits
2) I share the data, but it's copyright protected and I keep all the rights to
oversee it's use
3) If it is used, I may join the project and even assume the position of lead scientist if
it's taken as a base for a research project
Copyright protection would mean no one can edit, copy or use the material in
any other way without my written permission as well as have my name on it. You
are free to make a contract and I'll gladly sign it if we both agree to the terms
written on the paper.
