Hello.
I transferred some codename weapons two days ago from various ships to my storage transport and yesterday I realized I miss 8 of them. I wanted to have them all gathered in one ship.
Someone told me that there is a limit in unmounted weapons a ship can carry.
Is there a way to retrieve those weapons or they are gone for good?
How much unmounted weapons can an empty ship carry? How can we know it's capacity?
A ship should not have more than 100 non-stackable items in its cargo hold at any given time. For instance, 70 Countermeasures and 70 Missiles counts for two items. 2 EXCALIBUR and 2 GOLDEN BLADE counts as four items.
Unless you've approached the 100-item limit, there should be no problem. Beyond that limit, character data can become corrupted.
With mounted and unmounted guns, cargo and ammo the amount was more than 100 for sure.
The method was trade between two ships. There were around 85 items in the ship and the last trade was 30 codes.
I write down everything I have and the next day I saw there were 5 weapons missing. Every time I was logging out and in again one more weapon wasn't there. This stopped when I took the half weapons to another ship. It was too late though. I lost 8 codes and I don't know if there is a way to find / retrieve them. :(
I tried the same in a private server. The game lets you transfer the weapons and then it erases one weapon each time you login.
I can't speak for this specific problem, but I vaguely remember something about a limit on 20 of the same-named non-stackables, so a maximum of 20 DIAMONDBACKs...
For that matter. on the subject of lights, the reason I remember something like that was a thread not too long ago about one of the transports or something, with a bunch of lights on it was unable to have more than like... 3 commodities due to this issue
Edit: meaning he was asking why he couldn't tractor in something, and this answer came up.
