I am trying to fix my rep and get "Zoner" tag. Now I don't have any tag and I am most friendly to zoners but not enough (they not blinking). It is not so easy.
Player Status card says about the Zoners faction:
Allies : The Order, GMG
Enemies : None
but I looked into some mod's .ini files and I found :
Synth Food rep = 0,65 (friendly)
IMG rep = 0,65 (friendly)
The Order rep = 0,30 (positive)
Unioners rep = 0,30 (positive)
Nomads, Phantoms, The Wild = -0,65 (hostile)
the rest including GMG rep = 0, (neutral)
so the Reputation card says wrong or what ?:(
I think IMG and GMG got mixed up for that.. Should be GMG at 0.65 and IMG at 0.00.
Other than that, get the Zoner tag by shooting BHG ships. They are slightly unfriendly with the Zoners so your rep will go up. Shooting Wild, Nomads, or Phantoms won't affect it, as they are locked reputations.
but shooting BHGs is utterly ooRP, - if you like to stay in RP, - do GMG missions and occasionally decline them to lower the rep / decline Kishiro, too sometimes to lower them. that way, zoner rep raises without shooting NPCs in a very ooRP manner. i did that on my transport just yesterday - and it took me from neutral to zoner max in only like 3 hours non too intense playing ( and i even got some nice cash from the missions ) - all without opening fire on anyone that is to be considered neutral or unfriendly ( GMG on naha offers missions against the wild )
postscript: i hate it when zoners think that BHGs are their enemies - even after they have their tag they keep believing that zoners are friendlier to corsairs and outcasts than to the BHG.

Yeah, it is annoying. Especially when they call Corsairs friendly-ish.. Corsairs and Zoners are NOT on good terms.. Zoners even told Corsairs they could not make a base in Theta, meanwhile they do allot BHG to stay on Freeports.. BHG are more friendly than Corsairs.. Though I usually see BHG as unfriendly to Zoners, because of our alliance with Order. Meanwhile Outcasts are neutral, though that puts them above BHG and Corsairs.
Actually I had just gotten the Zoner bribe so it was green. I then shot some Wild (No Hessians in S13 where I got the bribe) and when I looked again the Zoners were no longer green but neutral.
Oh, and why would Zoners care if I blew up a few Hessians?
To get my zoner rep, I blasted BH depots. (ALOT of them) this got most of the criminals neutral and allowed me to take a BHG bribe to make things proper again. (the bribe was expensive though lol)
Not in RP.. but quickest and easiest I found.
Iâll carry this flag
To the grave if I must
Because itâs flag that I love
And a flag that I trust
I agree that shooting anyone it is not good way to get zoner tag. it ruins neutral status fast. Zoners don't like that.:)
Decrease BHG rep. works, but I did it without shooting. I just decline their missions.
First I tried to do missions, but it did my rep. green or red for many factions and white zoners. then I have declined missions to all greens. it works better, but takes time.
ufff. hard work with this matter...
but the thing is : GMG or IMG or maybe I checked wrong files:P

Maybe the Zoners of Theta, but not all Zoners are the same. Around Gran Canaria for instance Corsairs have a contract to keep the Bretonians out. Also, in Delta they live together rather peaceably.
The rep system doesn't do the Zoners justice IMO. To paint them with such a broad stroke is incorrect. They don't usually come together for anything other than individual pursuits or building a Freeport.
"The thirteen saloons that had lined the one street of Seney had not left a trace. The foundations of the Mansion House hotel stuck up above the ground. The stone was chipped and split by the fire. It was all that was left of the town of Seney. Even the surface had been burned off the ground.
Nick looked at the burned-over stretch of hillside, where he had expected to find the scattered houses of the town and then walked down the railroad track to the bridge over the river. The river was there."
