Rocket unbelievable watches the scene next to her. She smiles miscellaneously and watches that kusarian whore thinking about the situation. I hope that Cryer dockor is enough valuable, thank god there are the other two to witness it. Rocket was sure that she would let Amber execute him if they weren't.
"What are you bloody waiting for, opening the f*cking door!" she yelled at the pilot.
He gave a sight to the woman next to him who with pale face gave him a short nod. The pilot carefully approached the doors and unlocked them with a card.
Before he could back, Rocket smashed him with it and soon another hit followed between his legs with her knee and another in his face with her elbow. A few drops of blood could be seen flying off his mouth before he fell on the floor unconscious.
"Now that felt fu*king well" says Rocket in japanese grinning.
'Ikari!?' Otsune started quickly at the brutal assault, drew her side-arm, and hastily fired at the prisoner called Rocket, scarring the walls. The noise was almost deafening in the confined space. 'Ikari!? Can you hear me?!' Otsune rode a wave of fear, anger and confusion before she assessed the hostage situation and made a dive for the comm.
Before Otsunes reaching hand can even touch the comm a stinging pain overtakes her for a moment, Amber had thrown the syringe she had in her hand towards Otsune. The needle of it disappeared completely in her thigh, Amber used this small window of time she made to grab Ikari's sidearm and aims it at Otsunes head. "I wouldn't do that if I where you... You don't want the last thing to go through your mind to be a bullet, do you?" She smirks at her and says "Rocket, would you be so kind to escort our guests back to their ship? Take her side arm..." She gestures at Otsune "... With you in case they make any trouble and while you're there, bust their comms..."Rocket nods "With pleasure!" She roughly takes Otsunes sidearm from her belt and gestures the 3 medics and points at the knocked out Ikari "You 3, pick him up, we have no use for him"
Rocket boards the Cryer transport with the medics and Ikari, Amber smirks at Otsune again and roughly removes the syringe from ones thigh "Now let's see how you enjoy that cage" She throws her in the cage and locks it and next she takes place in the pilot seat and rotates it around in it's bearing. She gazes at the caged Kusari woman while playing with her sidearm "Don't get any funny ideas girl, if I even feel the slightest hunch you're calling for back-up, i'll blow one of your own bullets through your brain."
Rocket took the gun from Outsune's waist with a smile and headed to the Cryer transport following the medics making sure they won't do anything stupid.
"Move your damn ass" she shouted at the medics.
Few moments later they finally arrived to the transport.
"Where is the power core?"
One of the medics pointed at the doors to the right "Open it"
Rocket followed him with the gun while he did so. "All of you, inside"
She waited till the medics carrying the body of the knocked out pilot were inside and then fired all of the magazine except one bullet in the powercore. Rocket smiled as all the ship lights blinked and emergency module popped on. One that contained only life functions.
She turned back at the medics gazing at her with a frightened face.
"You better hope someone will find you before the air runs out"
She gave them a wink and stepped away from the room, aiming at the control panel and sending the last bullet in it.
Rocket returned back to the ship she came from and headed to the pilot cabin finding Amber there to her surprise.
"They won't be able to call for help" she smiles and arches over Amber closing the hatch between the two ships and then stares out to the emptiness of space for a moment.
"Alright then..."Amber sets some coordinates and flies away from the transport, once the ship was on autopilot she turned around again. "But what to do with her..." she gazes at Otsune for a while "...Is there anyone who would pay a nice price to see you alive again girl?" She keeps staring at Otsune, wondering what she would say.
Otsune railed at the cage, thrashing ineffectually against the robust bars. 'You do not even know who I am!? I am second daughter of the Matsui family!'
Otsune took a moment to collect herself and knew a moment of shame as she thought of having to call upon her parents. She answered the barbarians query. 'Hai if it is money you want... it is there. Not that it will help you, they will erase you for this!'
Otsune thought back to her days in the Imperial court and the safety of high living. She remembered her husband and thought upon how he would have had these women hunted and culled. Otsune mourned simpler times and wondered if the new republic was more dangerous than the old state of affairs: all this leeway for offenders, whilst a noble idea, was the source of more and more injury reports.
Amber starts laughing and it takes a while for her to get over it, eventually she takes a deep breath and says with a grin on her face "I have credits, it's not what I desire..." She gets up and starts pacing through the ship "See... back then I allowed them to arrest me... I didn't see any other way out, after all... How bad could it be, right?" She stops right in front of Otsune and turns to her "But I never wanted to become a slave of a so called republic, you serve your house for what? Honour? Do you actually think anyone would care if you die?!"
She starts pacing again and as she continues to speak her voice gets louder "Sure your family will mourn for you, hell you probably even get a heroes funeral... But over time you'll become just another grave of someone who died too young... and you'll be long forgotten." She stops at a window and gazes into space, with a much calmer voice she says "Honour isn't worth dying for... Ah well... How did I ever get to this?" she turns around to face Otsune again "It's simple, we got you and just letting you go would be to simple... It wouldn't satisfy me, so you just stay put in that cage of yours until we come up with something."
Otsune craned her neck, straining to glance at the cockpit and the displays set at intervals around the craft for some clue to their course. She had not felt the familiar nausea of jump-drive travel, and so assumed that the blue tinted light on the starboard side was still the Shikoku sun. She surmised that the craft was headed to the galactic south, toward Liberty.
She reflected on her situation: what would her husband think of her now, caged and unarmed; she made a poor excuse for an officer. She hoped that the doctors had taken care of Ikari, and wondered if these girls would have killed him, or if they had consciously minimised the damage they caused. Was there a moral line for these girls? Or had they abandoned virtue to tread the path of the monster? She eyed the girl called 'Rocket' and considered the criminals satisfaction in brutalising Ikari: Otsune concluded that her captor must have embraced the other side. Perhaps her families money would not be enough to save her.
From her eye-opening training, Otsune knew that there were several paths to brutality.
It had been statistically shown that convicted criminals were often themselves, or believed themselves to be, a victim of crime. Of course that was only a portion of a larger demographic, some were born into it, others drawn to it by greed, some merely for the thrill, and others for the power and dominance. After dwelling upon the actions of the tight-lipped aggressors, she judged the pair to be enraged victims: doubtlessly unhinged by some traumatic event. She guessed vengeance to be their motivation, upon the universe if they could not be focused.
'I understand you are angry: but abducting and assaulting the kusari state police will not get you closer to the real target. Who wronged you to make you act like this?'
Amber paces some more without answering, finally she sits back down and leans back "No one wronged me, i'm simply where I am now because of you people." that being said she turns the chair around and starts working on the comm-unit, changing the frequency and putting the broadcast range on maximum. This at the cost of audio quality but she didn't have to worry about that. She starts mumbling to herself "Done, searching for remote satellite... Aha, that one should get me at least a weak signal throughout the surrounding systems... Now the encoding..."
Apparently she's finished because she leans back and puts the headset on, she clears her throat "This is Amber, reference 'Royal Fortune' hailing Blondie, reference 'Royal James' if you're getting this, i've been in some interesting places... I'm heading to Hymie town, meet me there! Oh and by the way... you're going to be suprised to see what i've got here!"
After this strange hail she puts down the headset and turns to look at Otsune again "You're not blind girl... nor stupid... so you must have noticed that i'm not all bad, she on the other hand..." she gestures at Rocket "... Well let's just say, either you co-operate and you'll be treated according to your behaviour... Or you don't co-operate... In that case... Well, you get the picture." She gestures at Rocket again, referring to what to what she has done to the crew of the transport.
Before they know it the ship enters hyperspace and jumps to Liberty.
I understand you are angry: but abducting and assaulting the kusari state police will not get you closer to the real target. Who wronged you to make you act like this?'
Rocket looks at Otsune and chuckles and then whisperes: "I have been jailed by your kind for more than a year. Trust me, you haven't seen me really angry yet." she says in fluent japanese.
"But I don't have a year to spend with such a lovely creature like yourself. War seems to have ended yet I remained in jail. Thus, tell me, why shouldn't I act with you as with a war criminal?"
She opens the cage and kneels infront of her looking straight into her eyes.
