Ah, it appears we've got this working. Record the name as Kaptain Artemis Braun for future reference. We have been in space for several weeks now, I suppose a brief overview of our current situation is in order before progressing with action reports.
A few months ago I defected from the Rheinland Police, having become sick of what they represent. At first i did not seek to join the revolution, merely lead my life as a free man. One of my crewmen aboard our Mjolnir patrol craft, who now serves as our weapons officer, was of a more revolutionary persuasion. Eventually we would make our way to the Hessians, but that didnt happen for some time.
Of course the military chased us, but I gave them the slip easily enough, and we made our way into Omega 15, to Bornholm Depot. Olaf, the Hessian sympathiser, and Dimitri, a Omega systems Rheinlander were ok with us striking out on our own. Maxmilian, our newer crewmate attemped to stop us the poor lad. We had no trouble subduing him as we made our way to Bornholm.
The junkers there were a pleasant enough bunch, once they were warned to stay clear of our ship. We spent a couple of weeks combing the debris fields for loot, but most of the stuff was in patches claimed by the people of Bornholm. We were out on a scouting mission further than we had gone before, towards the fringes of the junk field, when we saw the outline of a ship we all recognised from the Academy.
A Hel cruiser; shot up and slightly irradiated, and completely abandoned. We had struck gold! Getting the lines in place to tow it back to the Depot, we felt a measure of success come over us. A ship that large was capable of anything.
It took us a couple of weeks, and several hundered thousand credits, plus the Mjolnir, but we got it operational. 10 junkers came with us for pay, along with myself, Dmitri and Olaf we were but 13 men crewing a massive, turretless cruiser. With little other idea as to how to leave the system and start working for our own money, we started off back to the Dresden jump hole.
Thats all for today, its been a long patrol. I'll sort the individual crew logs in the morning.
