A few days ago with great delight all of us witnessed the construction of the King's Cross station. However few noticed something of unique importance. We will be required to purchase docking rights.
The King's Cross station was built with public funds but most importantly, in a strategic position. Near the unguarded New London - Cambridge Jump Gate offering great relief to incoming transports and convoys.
The issue which is raised is that up until that moment we were never required to purchase docking rights in order to dock in a border station within the Realm, but now we do. The moral issues which are raised are many;
- Should we purchase docking rights in order to save ourselves from the criminals and terrorists out there?
- What if someone haven't purchased the rights and is under attack? Will the authorities let him get killed instead of opening the doors?
- Since when basic values such as survivability were linked with money?
We should not allow this motion to continue and develop more. I call all of you Bretonians to sign this petition and demand the lift of sale of docking rights for our new publically-funded base!
Kings Cross station was, unlike Mrs. Jameson says not funded with public money. Yes the governement has ordered the construction of the station however, not a single penny worth of public money has gone into this project.
Both Borderworld Exports and Bretonian Mining and Metal have been nationalised prior to Kusari invasion of the Leeds system. The profit that these companies make flows directly into the treasury. These nationalised companies have funded the entire construction project and will continue to do so.
In terms of General access, Bretonian health and safety laws restrict access to construction sights and we abide these laws.
In terms of emergency docking, the base has been outfitted with a brand new security system as it has no active defences of its own. Any attack or hostility taking place near Kings Cross Station will activate its passive defence system, a shield. This shield blocks out all traffic from the station. As much as we want to become a safe haven, we can not.
Therefore Bretonians, I urge you not to sign this petition as it is rubbish and slander aimed towards the pride of the nation.
