The Rouge Etiole, a ship of magnificent engineering. At a time when the Kusari Empire had just seen its collapse at the King's Right Hand, his Royal Navy. This ship was at a different location, it's crew, complements, and escort vessels. It is entirely unknown as to why this ship, amongst a fleet of hundreds like it, had the ill-fate to come upon a malfunctioning Jump Hole. But that's not where this story begins, it begins much more innocently than the fateful day that Gallia would change forever.
The communications officer looked as though he had seen a ghost on his scanners, but with the squadron commander yelling over the comm systems, he managed a glance back to Landuin. The Commander walked up to the scanner
"Tell me you're seeing what I'm seeing out here. They're like ghosts, dammit. My men and I can't track these things. They out-turn all of our ships. What the hell is going on in there? Why haven't you gone to code red yet?"
The Commander looked at the screen, with almost a grin on his face. This is what he had been hoping to find. The purple figures darting back and forth as his fighters failed to hit them brought a calming joy to his heart, as though his entire life he sought fulfillment and in this moment it had happened.
"Sir....?"Tavernier's generally calm attitude and steely resolve had stopped coming through on the comm line, and worry filled his voice as he failed to receive a reply from the Etiole.
"Denis. Stand down. Return to ship, they're not here to hurt us."
