Prt Sc - Doesn't work sometimes?

So when I want to take SS on a very important thing like RP messages, violations, blue messages, green messages, it laggs a bit like usuall. Then when I get back to the folder to see the SS's, they're not there! What's the reason?

Because this is an important matter, I heard that some people have a program to see the chat history and such. Can someone send me the link for it?

Correction; it does, but Windows overrides it.
That is, it takes a screenshot of your entire screen, and copies it to clipboard.

I play in windowed mode. I use the Prt Scr button. It works fine for me. It makes a copy of the entire screen on my clipboard, but simultaneously adds a proper FL screen to my Freelancer Shots folder. So I'm doubting that windowed mode is the problem.

What folder are you looking in for your screenshots?



As for seeing the chat history, you can add the -chatlog command as described in this topic. Keep in mind, though, that the pure text from a chatlog cannot be used as hard evidence for a sanction report.

PrtScrn key is intercepted by Freelancer but is also still used by Windows at the same time. Sometimes the Freelancer PrtScrn function does not work, for example when there is a dialog box showing death message or disconnect message. But even then, Windows will have the screen in the clipboard.

So simple thing, once you learn when Freelancer does not automatically make a file copy, switch to windows and start mspaint or whatever, and paste the clipboard

Is it a laptop or desktop, either way, you could just check the keyboard drivers, or even try a different keyboard, assuming you can get hold of one. or as suggested, try Fraps or try one of the freeware apps listed in the link.
