It had been a long time since the old bar had been open. The old bartender leaned on the bar top, his hands leaving dusty ghosts in their wake. The older man smiled. There had been some interesting memories here in this bar, from crazy looking characters to lawmen, to criminals, and drifters. It had all happened here once upon a time. He remembered those days, from a long time past, and what felt like a totally different universe.
Although, all that was about to change. The old man smiled again, his handlebar mustache tickling the corners of his mouth and his beard wrinkling up. He was going to reopen his old bar just as it had used to be...maybe the old troughs of people would return...maybe he would see crazy characters, lawmen, and criminals again. Maybe he could bring back the days of old from the place he for some reason remembered as "Asgard".
Without any further delay, he began to quickly dust off the bar counter, reorganize all the tables and chairs in the restaurant portion of the bar. He started to restock the drinks behind the bar as he had so many times before...and within a few hours, the bar was ready to be reopened. He walked over to the sign and flipped over the open sign.
Passing the rules sign, he wiped it down for all to clearly see:
1. No fightin'. Or Heinrich will kick your ass.
2. No shootin'. Or Heinrich will shoot you back.
3. Heinrich has the right to cut you off when ever he wants.
4. Heinrich has the right to kick you out when ever he wants.
5. Drink to your hearts content and have a good time.
Without another adeu, Heinrich sat down behind the bar and popped open one of his favorite ales and waited for the people of old to once again return to the bar.
OOC NOTE: For those of you who played on the Asgard server back in the day, you'll remember this bar as the largest forum post anyone has ever probably seen. With over 20,000 replies to the post by the time Asgard went down, I think it was probably one of the grandest "bars" I've ever seen. If you remember it, post, if you don't, post. Have a good time!
You fear oblivion. Yet you forget. The universe remembers every atom of your being. Even dust hums your name in the dark.
