Lost characters :( can they be saved?

Hello, i reinstalled my laptop due to a crashdown, but i did not make a backup or save for my freelancer multiplayer code in time.

Is there a way i can save my characters? i know all their names but not the code i need to type in multiplayer.

Please do make back-ups. You never know when your computer will go kaput. I personally keep my back-ups on my mobile phone and a portable hard drive.

Ok so here's what you do.
Get whatever names you know/remember and PM them to multiple admins. Beg them to set a /movechar code on them.
After they've set the codes, transfer them to your new account via the /movechar command.

The Admins are busy people, they'll take a while before they read your PM. Thus, PMing more than one is a good idea. Even if you PM more than one, they may still take a while before the deed is done.
