Greetings honourable Guild Master Katsuo! For start, let me apologize at the beginning of this message that I didn´t contacted you sooner and stayed silent for nearly three weeks. The reason is that we were fully occupied solving problems in Rheinland, where we have not only our headquarters, but also main docks, hangars and other technical facilities for our ships. Maybe you know or not, but after government completely banned Interspace Commerce here, situation is going to be much worse than was in previous months. Current economic crisis with government in debts and moreover at war is very bad combination. Military and police are not able to protect ships even inside the house space so trader ships are everyday attacked by pirates, terrorists and revolutionaries. Also, the maintenmance of trade lanes and jump gates is much worse so there are sometimes huge communication and travel blackouts. And there are also problems with supplies and shortage of some commodities. So in short - Rheinland seems going to hell now and we can only hope for better days. For this reason I´m very happy that main part of our business is now concentrated in GMG space and Kusari.

But now to the main point - issues about Shuri base. List is quite long so please forgive me that I will be little too much brief, but I have lot of work to do.

So for first, as you are probably informed, main news is that base was succesfully extented and it´s power core upgraded to level two. Just a few numbers - we delivered to Shuri more than 375 thousand Cargo Units of materials. We also exported from Shuri or Fuxyueru almost 50 thousand CU of helium-3 or transported more than 305 thousand CU of H-fuel from Fujisawa Mining Facility to Aomori station. Now we have at Shuri first wave of our technicians and scientist which will start prepararations for building of our factories and also some technical hinterland for our ships and it´s crews. But they will still use as a primary hinterland our barge which is now moored at Shuri.

Speaking about deliveries of materials for Shuri extension - we noticed that somebody delivered to base all required 50 thousand CU of basic alloy, also around 20 thousand CU of industrial materials and around 5 thousand CU of ship hull panels. I just wanted to ask if you ordered this delivery or somebody else did it, because it is odd when price was set to 1 credit per CU.

Point two - this comunication channel is the one created by conditions of our contract (point 1.3 - Communication and noticing) so we will be contacting you if needed here, you can do the same.

Point three - time to pay our leasing fee has come, but we don´t know to which account send money. So please inform us about it.

Point four... *Stone face go to serious* There is not only good news, but one which I don´t like but I feel you have to know about it. One of our ships was few days ago ambushed on lane in Kyushu system by a pirate named Vispilio. I don´t know if you heard about him, he is kinda active in Kusari and Tau regions and going to be infamous here. Problem is that he is using cloaking device so police or military ships are not able to catch an destroy his ship. But the reason why I think that you should know about this encounter are words of this pirates which he said to our pilot after he paid ransom.

It seems that this person knows something about our cooperation and this sounds like a threat. So be careful. We know that Vispilio few times appeared even in Okinawa.

But now back to more pleasant issues. Point five is about our chief for Shuri activities. Well, we still haven´t chosen person who will be the one in charge for our factories. As I mentioned at beginning of this message, we have to solve problems in Rheinland so I need my best and trutworthy people from management here. But so far, deliveries of materials for recent extension of Shuri were nearly all made or organized by captain Craft mostly without need of help from HQ. I´m glad she handled this very well and demonstrated talent and skills for this kind of management. So for now, she will be temporary person responsible for all Shuri issues. You can contact she instead of me, personally or via this channel where she will get access. She will be around, in Okinawa or near, what will make things much easier than handling them from Rheinland.

Point six - we spoke in past that there is not enough storage capacity at Shuri. At this moment, we use our barge but it can´t be there forever. So we are thinking about purchase of one or two transport ships which will be most of the time moored at Shuri for our needs of storage. Captain Craft informed me during our conversation that Kujira transports that GMG is using could be the good choice, because they have big cargo hold for quite low price. But she didn´t know if GMG is selling them freely or only for permission. So I want to ask you about that and if Kujiras are restricted ships, I want to ask for two of them. Once this will be solved, captain Craft will arrange all the necessary paperwork and purchase itself at Aomori station.

And finally to very important point seven, future business. Shuri is now extented, we can have our two module slots and after next power core update the third. But we want more *smile*. We are looking to Shuri as great production facility in future. Current three slots will used for factories that will produce cloaking devices, hyperdrive jump devices and survey modules. But we see another good opportunity on the market. Small docking modules. I´m sure you heard about them. They can be installed on larger ships and allow docking for small crafts. Until now, there were big problems with software and hardware and connections to ship systems. But since D.E.V.S. Corporation introduced updated version six of them, they work, however still with some problems. But lot of companies now want to refit their transports and equip them with this device. So we are looking for another slot modules. Two more of them. One for docking modules factory. And second as a safe storage place with restricted acces. We realized that if we will have here four factories, there will be components which have high value so must be stored in safe.

To make it shorter, I will now try first offer to you. I think you want to extend Shuri more, because it need more storage bays to be able to store more helium-3 for customers. Maybe a defense module will be good here, but that is up to you. And we want bigger Shuri too. So what you will say about this deal: you will pay the cost of materials needed to extensions for the lowest price which is every material available on the markets. We will make deliveries on our expenses and with our ships. And for every power core upgrade, we will get one extra slot module. So at the end, Shuri will have 12 slot modules, and five of them will be ours. Let me know what you think about this.

Well, I´m sorry for this...unusual manner. Maybe you noticed that upgrading of Shuri base stopped for last three weeks. The reason is that I was wounded during some incident and since then I´m in hospital at Kyushu so there was nobody in charge and nobody to deliver materials because another company pilots had another company contracts to fulfil. But things started again this week, after I was able to make at least some basic temporary solutions. Stein continued to deliver materials and I hope that doctors let me fly my ship again soon. There are some other issues but I don´t have time to talk about them, doctors are strict here and they say I had to rest and sleep. I will contact you again as soon as possible.

But most important thing - the payment of leasing fee for this month. I sent the money, confirmation of it also with confirmation for previous payment for july is in data attachment of this message.

Greetings again after some time, honourable Guild Master Katsuo! As I said last time, there are some issues that need to be solved, but in light of today´s event, they can wait but this not. Well, my first flight after I recovered from injury ended really strange. I was heading to Shuri with load of ship hull panels. When I arrived to end of Miura-Fujisawa trade lane, a ship appeared here. I´m not sure if unmoored from Fujisawa or decloaked. Then I was surprised by the fact that this ship was Shukensha Liner with Kusari Naval Forces IFF and Kempetai ID, and as my scans showed, also equipped with cloaking device. Here, in deep Okinawa, deeply in GMG territory.

But this was not all. Captain of that ship admitted that he serve in Kempetai, Kusari Secret Service, and started to question me about destination of my cargo. When I contested his authority to do this in Okinawa, he started to threaten me with attack if I will not answer his question. I thought about this and because Shuri base is known to lot of people so its existence and position can be hardly considered as secret, I decided to answer truthfully. After that, Kempetai ship said goodbye and took lane to planet Miura.

I...I hope I made a good decision, I was really confused and had to decide this in few seconds and under threat of attack. So, please forgive me if I done anything wrong. I will really appreciate advice how to deal with situation like this. I´m familiar how to deal with pirates or unlawful groups, but I was first time in situation when lawful organization is apparently making something without having right to do it. Or was I wrong in anything? I don´t want to cause any kind of diplomatic incident or something like that...

Subject: Ideas about safety and run of Shuri base after final core upgrade will be finished

Greetings Mr. Katsuo! This message is based on our short conversation when we met last time in Okinawa. I thought a little how Shuri will operate after final core upgrade will be finished. As I said, I think that some weapon platforms are needed and there will be even enough space for them. By the way, I again encountered outcast ship in Okinawa yesterday, it was gunship near Furyoku which tried to shoot down one transport. Its callsign was Michela.Vasques.

But back to the topic. As you know, I´m responsible for whole Shuri production facility project now which include safety of people and huge investments that Stone Bros Ltd/GmbH made into Shuri base. Main enemies which are able to destroy the base because are equipped with capital ships fleet, Outcasts and Corsairs, have only little activity in Okinawa in these days. But we don´t know when this will change and they for example start some new offensive and incursions to Okinawa will become more frequent. I don´t wish this but I have to count with option that it can happen. And I would like to see defence of Shuri build before this start, better than building it in hurry after base will be in danger.

Now to my ideas. After consultation with our safety chief and Shuri head engineer about risks and possibilities of enemies and also Shuri base, I made a draft - we can call it "how I would defend Shuri it would by my" *smile* But really, it is just draft, I don´t know if I understood all information about shield capacities, repair efficiencies and weapons destructiveness right. Anyway, my defense plan count with "worst case scenario" - massive attack of capital ships fleet, so the base will be sieged, cut from supplies and have to use repair capacities at maximum rate.

So, lets go to numbers. After Shuri final core upgrade will be finished, there will be enough energy for 12 module slots. One now serve and will stay as shield generator, another one is now and will stay storage depot. From another 10 module slots, four become factories of Stone Bros Ltd/GmbH. Because a lot of space is needed for these factories, they should be built in the main section. So there are six module slots left, one for SBLG, five for station. In my opinion, two will be used for weapon platforms control room and support, rest for storage depots. So finally, there will be 1 shield generator, 2 weapon platforms, 4 factories and 5 storage depots.

Why two weapon platforms is simple - behind Shuri immediately starts explosive gas pockets field what in not very good space for capital ships. So if the platforms will be placed above the docking bay A and below the docking bay C (or reversely), at least one of them can always shoot at hostile ship(s) which will be forced to attack from sides or from the front. But if captain will manoeuvre badly, ship could be hit from both weapon platforms. What is in result more than enough active defense.

Now to passive defense part - shield and repairs capacities. If the Shuri would be almost indestructible base, it has to be very well supplied to stand under siege for some time until help will come. Negative part is that supplies for this need lot of storage space. As a compromise between these two problems, I set up this minimum stock which will be keep at base to these amounts:

Just a short commentary. As you can see, with these amounts, base will maintain repairs at maximum possible rate for 12 hours and on reduced rate for four hours more. But most important part of defense is shield so for this reason I count with fuel for 32 hours of non-stop work of it. I hope you will not be offended that I count with MOX as a fuel. H-fuel is of course cheaper and in Okinawa very easy available. But there are safety and storage reasons why MOX is better choice.

It is more efficient fuel so for the same performance, less amount is needed. And from safety point of view, MOX is again better because is formed into ceramic pellets that are then loaded into zirconium fuel elements, which can be stored inside base storage depot. H-fuel has to be stored in one of external tanks what is always less safe because tanks can be more easily hit and destroyed or sabotaged. If we agree about this change which need only very little modification of shield generator, we can bring MOX from Rheinland and make needed stock.

Oh, and explanation about "maximum stock" column. MOX, ship hull panels and robotics are commodities which will be used only if the base will be under attack. Otherwise, they don´t need to be delivered. Basic alloy and FOW (food+oxygen+water) supplies are commodities which have to be provided continuously because they are used for common run of the station. With these numbers your supply ships have to bring these materials only once per two days and still there can be maintained minimum stock. Maybe it seems that I keep here too much FOW supplies, but they are crucial same as fuel for shield. I know about several bases, which ran out of supplies so crew had to be evacuated and bases in the meanwhile suffered heavy damages because there was not enough crew for repairs.

So, as you can see, fully stocked base will have 160 800 cargo units of supplies in storage depots. But even with two weapon platforms, there still will be five storage slot modules which can with base basic storage depot provide total storage capacity of 230 000 cargo units. So despite the base will be full of supplies, there will be still almost seventy thousands cargo units free, usually for helium-3 storing.

From my point of view, this is best way how to utilize maximum potential of Shuri while keep its maximum safety. I made a scheme where you can see how Shuri would work after whole construction will be finished. Basic photo was made now, so there is of course missing solar and hydrogen power panel which is currently under construction but which affect only power output of the base power core.

Hello again, Mr. Katsuo! I hope you don´t mind that I´m sending you message so shortly after previous one, but I think this matter can´t be delayed. It is directly related to question of weapon platforms around Shuri base. Unfortunately one new strong reason which support why build them appeared yesterday. One of ships which were delivering robotics from Omega-3 was caught just in front of base by Farmers Alliance bomber with callsign Anqi.Sheng.

As captain McHammer described in the report, he noticed him first time when he jumped to Okinawa from Sigma-19 approximately 9K away, in direction to edge of Mintaka hydrogen field. He immediately took the lane to planet Miura and it seemed that he escaped but reality was different. Bomber was not pursuing him, he obviously knew where tagged company ship and it´s cargo is going so he cruised directly to Shuri to await transport.

So captain again noticed bomber when transport was around 14K from Shuri. Maybe he should turn it back to Fujisawa but he relied on fact that FA pilot don´t know where is he going. This idea was wrong and enemy pilot was able to tightly catch him right in front of Shuri, disrupt his cruise and activate base shield system to prevent transport from docking. Then, as you can see on safety camera record, he demanded releasing of cargo (despite captain offered him money) and also mentioned that he "want to cargo will never reach the base". In short, his job was to chase suppliers of Shuri. He also threaten the ship by firing its shield down and was shooting at base repetedly, draining the fuel from base stock.

Because our pilot felt in danger of life, he released cargo. The loss in this case was not high from money point of view - value of cargo was only 1,2 million credits, but long way from Omega-3 was wasted. Even more disturbing fact is that Farmers Alliance apparently know where Shuri base exactly is and maybe they will try to threaten it. I think you know that emergency signal from Shuri very often can´t reach Fujisawa through hydrogen field environment so even just a fighter or bomber can make small "siege" of the base. He of course can´t hurt base itself, but he can stay here and drain fuel keeping the shield turned on.

For this reason I want again recommend to build at least one weapon platform, better two of them, around Shuri. Company is willing to help you with delivering materials for its construction, of course. We can arrange deal if you will agree with this safety measure. Which specific type of weapon platform or platforms will be used can be surely discussed subsequently. Please let me know soon what do you think about this matter. Laura Craft out.

After some time, I´m contacting you again, but using this quite unused channel because the issue concerns Shuri base and you probably should know this information. I want to announce you change of our representative. Miss Craft is no longer in this position and was replaced by Mr. Sam Stone. My brother took newly created position of our representative for all company issues in Okinawa what means facility on Shuri but also construction of base on Miura. Miss Craft did there lot of good work, at least from our point of view, but it turned out that she isn´t the best person for this position. I´m contacting you again after some time because we were informed that powercore problems of Shuri base were finally solved and base is again open and running on normal scheme. Good news indeed! That said, usual leasing fee for January was wired to designated account. Confirmation is in data attachment of this message.

I also want to inform you that our personnel already returned to base and started preparations for continuation of their work. Forced break in last weeks delayed some of our projects and we want to finish them as soon as possible. Some of our factories will be probably busy soon. Usual safety measures will be taken, of course, so critically important materials will be stored on base in enough amount before the manufacturing of hardware will begin.

And on a brief side note, building of our base on surface of planet Miura continues without any major problems, despite job has to be made by smaller construction companies from Kusari because Kishiro as well as Deep Space engineering were not interested in this contract.

Greetings honourable guild master Katsuo! I hope you're well despite current problem with Kusari-Liberty trade embargo on h-fuel. I myself hope this situation will be solved soon and embargo lifted, because we suffer to it too as we had to shut down contract for helium-3 which we were delivering from Shuri to planet Pittsburg.

But this is not what I wanted to speak with you about. First reason for this message is Shuri leasing fee for February. Because we were informed you are away for some time, we sent the money directly to the station bank account because we were informed there is some problem with cash so it solved two problems with one move. Confirmation of transaction is in data attachment of this message.

Second, and probably more important thing is encounter which one of our ships had in Honshu system. They met there some unusual ship which was under control of some artificial intelligence. During talk when our pilots tried to find out if it´s safe to continue with this ship around, the AI tried to get information if our company trade with GMG. Fortunately our pilots were careful enough to not confirm it. Then the -robot- said direct threats towards GMG, saying that they will "cut off delivering lines to GMG territory soon", that "GMG have acted hostile to humanity by itself" and also that "The Consensus has special interests in Helium-3", probably mentioning name of the organization which ship and entity aboard work for. We find this quite disturbing and possible threat for you as well as all your trading partners including us. So I think you should know about this. Complete record of the communication is in data attachment of this message too. Just please excuse the...manners of our pilots, they didn´t know this communication record will be forwarded to the third party. I already had a talk with them about their behaviour.

Also, I apologize for delay with information mentioned above, I had some problem with illness in last two weeks but didn´t want to let others to handle this issue to not let rumours about possible hostiles spread within our company. Anyway, that´s all for now, have a nice day!
