I thought of that but I'm looking for a word which informs users which never used such weapon before to "hold it down for a while to get it's more powerful form".
It has to have a crash course feel to it.
Ex: ...-1 word here- fire...
Charge sounds too much about the projectile, not the weapon itself. But if there's no alternatives posted then I'll see how that fits in the sentence.
' Wrote:An energy weapon eh? What type of energy?
It's energy is fusion. Which shows up in real life as an infinitely bright purple/white light projectile which look like some sort of meteor-shaped blob dual fired. Which inpact resembles a outgoing wave.
EDIT1: Grammar modifications appended.
EDIT2: Changed "comet-" to "meteor-"; comet was out of context for the energy projectile does not have two tails.

Not at all really, especially not "charged"

Oh the humanity! The scientific fail contained within this is beyond words.

Original sentence (without quotations):
"g. When using Fusion:
Use weapon by tapping fire for lowest power shot
Or holding fire to max for increased power shot"
Modified sentence (w/o quotes):
"g. When using Fusion:
Use weapon by tapping fire for lowest power shot
Or charging fire to max for increased power shot"
How does that sound?
' Wrote:variable charge or charged shot, though the former fails to convey sufficiently the charging period much like using "dial-a-yield" would.
1. "variable" is not defined enough.
2. "dial-a-yield" sounds like using a sequence of different buttons when only one is required to use
weapon.

You asked for the fire description, not button instructions.

Nuclear fusion is a reaction, not an energy
' Wrote:Which shows up in real life as infinitely bright
no such thing as infinitely bright
' Wrote:purple/white light projectile
Where did you get this from? Color depends on a lot.
' Wrote:which look like some sort of comet-shaped blob dual fired.
Reword please
' Wrote:Which inpact resembles a outgoing wave.
Again, makes no sense.
Fusion can be described as elements lighter than iron (can be heavier, but you will be absorbing energy instead...) crossing the Coulomb barrier - getting close enough to where residual strong force overcomes electrostatic force, causing an abnormal change in the input materials converting some of the matter of the newly fused nuclei (positively charged) to energy.
For the love of god stop calling it real life if you're talking about Descent 3

First off, idiot! I am the proprietor of energy weapon technologies!
I DETERMINE WHAT IS SO.
Second, the mechanics I'm talking about is something in Descent 3, which SHOWCASES my property.
...
I can't find any examples on the web about "Descent 3 fusion cannon".
But that's the relation of it.
Well, it may only have the "energy" part of a fusion reaction. Or something similar. The equivalent it firing two "suns" from the weapon(which there are two of them). Note that all fusion sources from my ship is purely artificial in form.
Look at the previous posts I've made again, I edited them grammatically.
Also, all player ship energy projectiles in Descent 3(which showcases me(as the Material Defender), my ship, and my technologies), the energy projectiles are infinitely bright according to their luminosity.
From this video I will specifically describe the projectile:
Dual purple/white artificial fusion counter-and-clockwise spinning blobs.
The Fusion cannon weapon:
See left holographic module(which shows a primary weapon as a holographic image).
Weapon is illuminated by a high contrast purple hue, showing the purple and grey weapon.
Note the hue is part of the game mechanics and would be non-existent in real life, also from the image of the weapon itself is in an isometric form in the game but would be a 3D holographic image in real life.
For specifics of my ship in Descent 3 see this link here.
