I really do need a better Render-er. The third picture looks terrible to be honest, hence the fourth to show what it could look like. I am not the original creator of these models but they have been adjusted somewhat with permission.
Thoughts/Opinions/Ideas?

Somehow I think it might serve a more..privilidged task here in Discovery.
wow, the first one is an awesome prospector or exploration / ship for maybe minefields. - looks like a flying laboratory. - very nice indeed. - the second one looks quite simple compared to the first.
The first one's poly count can be reduced by pretty much ripping off some of those tubes at the back and things like that. They are contructed seperately, with each little ring being a whole object, meaning a lot of unneeded faces.

Unfortunately many of those details were already present on the models when I first aquired them but after taking away some of them, the poly count goes far far down.
