So I'm nearing in on lvl 30 and thought it was about time this whole civ id went out the window. I thought I would make a seperate post in the hopes that either a member of the faction I will join finds me or an experiened poster sees this and points me in the right direction. As it stands I know very little about factions.
What I'm into.
Nothing unlawfull. It breaks the rp I go for well in-game. I enjoy neutral to full on lawfull-good.
I'm into trading and fighting. Trading makes good money and fighting is just plain satisfying.
I really like the looks of the Kusari ships. Really a 'wow thats cool' moment for me seeing their capital ships for the first time.
So if your a veteren poster and know anything that meets these please let me know or if your a member of a factions that sounds like please let me know so we can start playing!!

Dear Sir/Madam,
It has come to our attention at HGL that you are looking for a position with a lawful and active trading faction. I believe HGL does fit that bill, if I may say so.
You will find at the bottom of this post relevant links to HGL's history, current operations, and recruitment/application information. As you will discover, our employees help each other out extensively, including with initial setup. I think you will be pleased with what you read, and we would be happy to review your application for trader captain if you were so inclined.
Best wishes on your career search.
Sincerely yours,
Rebecca Halstead

Hm... Kusari State Police dont really use capships (as far as I'm aware, no police forces do), so you'd be using a drake or wyrm light fighter. Those things are, IMO, one of the best LF's in the game - they have decent firepower and insane manuverability, most capships wont even be able to hit you.
Kusari Naval Forces allows the use of capships but you have to climb through the ranks, that could take time and is usually a frustrating ordeal, one reason I dont like player factions much.
The Hogosha arent really illegal, but they arent legal either. They work behind the scenes in Kusari, manipulating the government and fighting 'for the people'. They're pretty much stuck in CSV's until their black dragon is added to the mod, not even sure if it's approved yet or not. You could probably RP a hogosha background into using something as large as a gunboat though.
Last option is the blood dragons, one of my favorite groups in the game. They're considered unlawfuls by the rest of kusari, but their purpose is lawful... they're trying to remove the corrupt government system currently used in kusari and replace it with something more controlled by the people - like kusari was back before the current system. They're technically pirates, but they base their lives around honor and a code, unlike most others in Sirius.
And now for something completely different. Join the Xenos!
More seriously though if you feel like you want to be within Liberty the SA is always looking for potent new applicants, but that puts a damper on your love of Kusari. You have a lot to choose from really, so far KSP and KNF seem like your kind of thing:)
