*Colin appears sat at her desk, a grave expression
across her face, behind her a large white projector screen.
Flickers of green fill the screen before a clear video feed
begins to play; to those who have been to the location
it is soon recognizable to be the Iota Jump-hole in Zeta.
Suddenly out of the hole spew nomads, four of the
Dreadnought class ships and an uncountable number of
smaller escorts.*
To those of you who have been filled in on this
project I am sorry for the dramatic introduction.
This is a video feed from The Aether.
The Aether is the OZ's attempt to protect our boarders
from the Nomad threat; ever since we first moved to
Zeta people have told us that colonizing this space is
impossible.
Our people in conjunction with a group of Independent AI,
known as Binary, have taken the first step in blockading
out this threat for good.
A step to which the Nomad hive mind has responded
to with unprecedented zeal.
These Aliens can see the threat posed by our bastion and
they are doing their damnedest to crush us whilst Facility
has no means to defend its-self.
Day after day we have defended their onslaughts
but our forces grow thin, if there was ever a time
for large scale mobilizations against a foe the time
is now!
So we ask for your support; Logistically and
Militaristically. I am working now with the Binary
to create a database of required goods for The Aether.
With the completion of the Automation of Murilo's
Atmospheric Tunneling Rings our engineers are
working to their limits to ensure our Security Forces
are always ready for combat. All their free man hours
not spent repairing and maintaining those ships are
being dedicated to the completion of our prototype
"Fearless" whale conversion.
I am sorry for zhe delay, but certain things kept me and zhe taskforce quite busy.
Nun, zhe Aether you say? Interesting, because some of mein agents have forwarded to me information
about it. Maybe you check zhese reports. Though only zhe information relevant will be highlighted hier:

This is Forlorn d'Autoine speaking.
I am here to present you with a report regarding yesterday's events.
But, before I being, I suspect you're all aware of the Station which was recently built in proximity to the Iota Jumphole, oui?
Allow moi to make it clear for you...
Yesterday I decided to commision les [CENSORED] for a patrol until it's long range scanners managed to pick up some distress signals coming from what it seemed like, the said station.
I grouped up with some members of the independent secondary fleet and the member of the primary fleet known as [CENSORED].Our force being composed of [CENSORED], a bomber from the primary fleet, and [CENSORED] and the [CENSORED] both under Order control.
We approached the said station with caution being prepared for the worse. When we arrived, we noticed a number of independent CORE agents battling a fleet of nomads. We then decided that the nomads was our top priority and thus, we didn't engage the CORE and instead, we followed the retreating nomad fleet trough the jumphole.
... ...
Fortunately, the Marduks fled and so, I have regrouped with the Hellbringer and returned back to Zeta.
I must say that we were assisted by the independent fleet of the CORE which offered valuable help for our forces in that skirmish. Also, I am not aware of the origins of the space station which lies in proximity of Iota Jumphole.I assume it's of CORE origins as when we arrived at the sight of events, members of the independent CORE fleet defended it, though I have heard chatters while we were on our operation that it could be of AI origins.Whatever it could be, it holds a magnifique defense point against the nomad threat
This was Forlorn d'Autoine.Au revoir
Action report, Interceptor# Wrote:Yo, Commander Davids. This is #2 reportin' in from [CENSORED]. Got some really interesting
news for you.
Well, you know, I was on patrol through Zeta, but as that was a bit too calm for me, I went for Delta.
And guess what? Corsaiirss. Sooo many, for a second I thought I had misjumped to Gamma. Then I saw
freeport 11 in vincinity, so yeah, it was still Delta like it used to be.
Anyway, the Corsairs had gathered some little force, could count at least three ECG Legates and 1 Osiris battleships.
Besides they were supported by snubcraft from the Benitez and the Brotherhood. Got told by them they
were after some AI ships named Haimen that had supported the Guild Core in raids into Gamma. One of their gunners
even mistook me for one of those Core guys, because they shot at me without any notice.
I think someone really got pissed off.
Well, soon after, the Corsairs engaged said AI ships and the Guild Core. Well, result was at least one
Bullhead destroyed along one of those bigger AI cruisers. And one Core controlled Siege cruier had to pull
out in a bad shape.
To be honest, I could not resist in setting a few holes into the Core ships as well. Not that this would have
worred them with the Corairs wanting to eat up their as...eh wazoos right away.
I mean, we all know how the ECG performs in combat, right?
Well, that would have been all for now. Okay, I am off now, want something to eat. Damnit, I am hungry!
As you can see, quite interesting. Unless you provide us with clear evidence, zhat zhe AI has nothing to do
wih zhe Core, One Four One will not support zhe Aether at all costs.
Right now our forces are spread too far to support our other installations...and now another one?
At such ein place zhat is too difficult to defend? And zhen maybe with zhe Core somehow involved into zhis
as well?
I am sorry, but for now, One Four One will not support it at all costs. If zhe base can take down some of zhe
nomads, gut. Though I will not cry about its loss now.

Greetings Commander Davids. We had previously communicated with Sefegiru and an Admiral Ravenov about a meeting between Our group and the Order, given Our past. We have not had a chance to arrange/attend that meeting as of yet, obviously We have been hard at work.
The 'Haimen' AI's have helped Us defend the station against Nomads... Beyond that fact though, We have no other associations with the BHG or the 'Haimen Alliance'. They are not the owners, builders, or suppliers of the station. It was built cooperatively between Our group and the OZ, no others.
We hope this clears some things up and that We can still arrange that meeting in the near future.

I expected more I really did, nevermind...
Our people have proved capable enough to make our facilities
survive even the most brutal of sieges so far by ourselves.
If your people do not consider extinguishing the nomad threat
in the Omicrons for good a worthy enough reason to reply
to your comms channels then I suppose we shall just
have to do it alone.
As to yourself Mr Davids...
You chose to hold your stubborn grudge against the core
to such a degree that you will not take steps to stop
the nomads, those that massacred your people... For what?
Because the facility may be being defended, by a group that may have at some point allied with the Core?
You speak of how it will take a united effort to stop the
nomads yet you have not the bollocks to stand by our
side whilst we take the first step in doing it.
Hide behind your pathetic paranoia all you like,
whilst we risk our lives supplying your forward
defenses; you stand too blinded by analyzing
the past to realize you are wasting all of your
opportunities to affect your future.
The Order Primary fleet cannot assist you in the defense of Aether. This is due to several reasons.
Firstly, it's extreme proximity to the Iota Jump Hole. Such a position is not tactically defensible
with our resources and means. While we can appreciate your measures to make Omicron Zeta
a more civilized place to live in, that base will not hold for long. Once the Nomads actually
take proper notice of the station, it will be destroyed or turned.
I'll request that you save the lives of the people onboard that station by evacuating the station
while such a thing is still possible. We will of course continue to assist with the defense of Murilo,
as it is a far more defensible position which lends itself to our limited means.
While you have started Murio project I already worried about your safe there. Zeta keeping extremely high amount of Nomads, it's a next system for Nomad homeworlds. Eh, please remember what happen with Toledo. And it was a planet, which was a home for a best pilot aces. I'm not sure why you need to do a Order job. We are not a warriors, we helping Order to fight with them. Trade is our weapon.
Which all of respect, I strongly suggest you to disassemble or abandon this station. Fate of this installation just question of time. Likewise, I think support this base will very dangerous.
Our transports is already busy at max with finishing our peace heaven, the Siberia also we are helping Ames administrator to build a extension for a base. Lately we should to have some available transports, if you're that aimed like iron. Please, keep in your mind high amount of people on your conscience if something will goes wrong.
Your concerns are noted, but it shall not deter
us. Building is what we do, it is what we strive
to do better than anyone else, as you say trade
is our weapon.
And thus we shall use it, we Obsidian's are leading
the way proving we can build bigger, better and
quicker than anyone else.
Now we shall prove that through our construction
we can also bring safety.
The Aether is an unmanned AI facility, no people shall
lose their lives aboard it as it stands a bulwark to stop
our enemies.
You men can stand oblivious to the importance of this
project for as long as you like, I shall say only one last
thing.
If we fail, at least we made an attempt... It is better
than letting them have free reign in our home.
Enjoy the view as you stand back
your fingers tightly knitted together.
