Aboard the Satsuma, a well dressed man in his mid twenties paces in front of a window. Outside of which the Yamaguchi is stationed. He turns towards the center of the room, where a very ornate table awaited, Marble with Gold trimming around the edges, clearly showing the Kogen Family Wealth. He sat at a chair, equally as ornate as the table and scratched his chin, looking at an empty piece of paper.
It had been his family tradition for centuries to write memoirs and thoughts on paper rather than data logs. As a result, the Satsuma had an extensive library of Books from former family members. Daichi was no different in this respect, he always preferred to write on paper rather than record to data logs. It seemed more eloquent.
He picked up his Pen and placed it to the paper, Furrowing his brow while he contemplated the first words. Finally, a tiny smile broke out onto his face and he nodded, the words had started flowing.
"They brought the news to me yesterday, while I was writing up some document or other. News that wrenched my Heart from its chest and had my mind racing all night. Jien Kogen was dead. I simply refuse to believe that my brother, The Emperor is dead... It seems impossible but it has happened."
[color=#FFCC66]He leans back into his chair, a small tear forming in his eye. He wipes it away and his sadness is replaced by a look of determined vigor. He leans forward again and begins scribbling more
"For so long he has been my bigger brother. My Rock to turn to during the hard times and my friend when I needed it. Yet so many were opposed to his mind, something of genius. Now It is my turn to rule, and here we are in Bretonia... The pit of scum that it is, only second to that of Gallia. How do I even begin to compare to my brother? So many are looking to me to lead them on as Emperor. So many more are untrusting of me.
I cannot let any of this get me down, I must be strong. Like my Brother was. I must return the Kogen line to its former glory, and I must wipe out the menace which is Gallia... But first I need to win my people's support. They are the important ones here. With them I can achieve anything.... Without them I am but a rich man on a ship.
My decision is this, I must go to see the Shogun and the Imperial Advisors. I must convince them that I can rule as steadfast as my Brother did... I Know I can do this."
[color=#FFCC66]He leans back into his chair, his mouth breaks into a grin again. He places the pen down and stands up, brushing down the creases in his clothing and walks towards the window. He stares at the Yamaguchi in quiet contemplation.....
