Halfway through the 2nd book and I have to say I'm enjoying them very much. If you're a Diablo fan, these are great books that fill in much of the back story.
My favorite part of the trilogy is where he farms bloated swarms for three days in book two for a %3 drop legendary sword to sell at the auction house. The books really give a lot of depth to these kind of game interactions.
