Does modifying the files in the DATA/AUDIO/MUSIC folder cause trouble in MP?
I'm too used to the original soundtracks, and I always end up with music in my player, but I think it would be better if the music could be event-based (like it happens in-game)... Could those be changed without issues?
It does not.
It may, however, have an issue with Discovery's Anticheat, which has been a wonderfully zealous little dude since some tweaks have been made to it.
I would hope the music wavs are ignored by it, but I wouldn't know.
It should work fine. Just try to not tweak any .ini or .ale, which would definately get you auto-banned. Custom huds, starspheres and sounds/music should be fine. Or at least it was until now.

I tried Hidamari's Sound Mod back in 4.85, even if it is a good piece of work, solid ammunition gunshot sounds in space don't attract me too much (I'm aware that solid ammunition works in space, also that sound doesn't travel in space, and that stuff... it's just a matter of preference...).
I am going to make some tests by tweaking the wavs and logging into a localhost server. If it doesn't ban me after making enough tests, I might try to take the risk. :/
But well, the change I was thinking about was just changing the current wav files for other ones, so the music would be different.
