Im flying in New Cambria right now, its full of gasses and weird molten asteroids. Whats the purpose of this system? And why am I mining Uncut Diamonds there?

Um why Flood.
Also. How did you get there? You prolly aren't playing in the correct server.
The purpose of this system is to be a system, like any other system out there. Unfortunately, it was removed due to certain issues. Originally intended as a nice beautiful system to chuck the Shetland in so the touristy types can look at beautiful sights since Gaia is now the property of the wine drinkers. Now, my beloved Luxury Liner Shetland is stuck somewhere in that system and so I can't even get to it.
No idea if the system will be added or not. All I want is the Lux. Liner Shetland to be somewhere that isn't there.
I visited New Anglia....found Shetland near some ugly looking station. Found 6 planets. Dublin background with 2 blue gas clouds made me puke.
Also some weird asteroid field....
And here I was, thinking those systems were nice....

New Anglia and New Cambria are being deleted. The Shetland will be relocated.

Because noone bothered to finish them before committing them to the mod (which was a bit common for 4.86), and they have no true purpose. And because the dev team decided that fixing what was in use, is more important then more-of-the-same. As for the lore, it's as easy as "those jumpholes destabilised, the systems are now unaccessible".
