23rd day out of New Tokyo. Found my way thru the Tohoku system to the Omicron 92 jump hole. That old frieghter captain was on the money with the coords. Here's hoping his tip on good salvage in Omicron 92 is as accurate.
25th day out of New Tokyo. Omicron 92 is nearly impossible to navigate. electronic mapping does not function here, have had to manually mark coords in the computers nav-core. Nomads present in system, they gave me a run for my money today.
27th day out of N.T. wreckage of rhienland frieghter found. Low-value salvage aboard. some water and food rations, but every bit helps.
30th day out of N.T. BINGO! Large ship detected adrift. ship checks out as Hathor class gun boat. Hull seems sound, will use portable docking collar tomorrow.
35th day out of N.T. Nomads found me, my frieghter is gone. I was in the docking collar getting a hard seal on the Hathos when they came in. tried making my way back but there was an explosion, knocked out. Came to drifting in my suit beside the air-lock of the gun boat.
38th day out of N.T. used suit computer to hack and cycle the airlock. the Hathos crew never made it off. air horrible.
40th day out of N.T. Spaced the former crews remains with as much decency as I could. found ships logs. apparently the ships nav-core had crashed, leaving the crew with no way to plot the JH. The crew died of thirst. Suited up and found the nav core in the wreckage of my frieghter, am attempting to patch it in with the Hathos systems. Also salvaged some of the water and food rations from the rhienland wreckage I had found.
43th day out of N.T. Main Power partially restored, about 30%. Patch looks to be working on the nav-core. limping my way back thru the Tohoku JH tho it will be slow going.
47th day out of N.T. water and rations gone. trying to make Nagano system before I suffer the same fate as the last crew.
51st day out of N.T. Made my way to Tomioko in Nagano system. passed out on the landing pad. locals took pity on me.
54th day. New Ships Log. Was able to scrape up enough to repair ships systems, had enough to even arm her with a mish-mash of weapons. The locals sell and trade furs, which I think will bring a good price on some of the colder planets. The Hathos has about the same cargo space as my old ship, tho I imagine the hackers and other pirates with think twice before trying to jack my cargo in a gun boat.
