Ah, Hello and good evening, Ms Harper...I believe we've met before, although I could be mistaken. In any event, I have a few questions that I would like to ask you while you await a response from the Honorable Secretary of Defense.
First, I've noticed some interesting behavior from the Solar Runners, and while I have a good feeling about your organization, when I notice 'Civilian' ships speaking in military code and terminology it...unsettles me slightly, call me paranoid. Can you explain this?
Secondly, and while I may have heard this myself before, I'll ask anyway, for those in the Government and Naval High Command, who don't know. What are the intentions of your organization within The Republic of Liberty?
I suppose in closing, I'll simply ask you specifically about the Destroyer. Aside from escorting the Liner that you mentioned, what other purpose would this Destroyer of yours have? Where will it be moored when not in space? And...How did you even acquire such a ship?
I do hope you'll humor my curiosity and answer my questions.
Indeed Miss Baker, we have met before in the past. You may or may not remember me as Ashley Suzuki before I married James Harper and before him, dated Isabella . But I’ll gladly answer the questions you have asked.
First, the reason for military code and the Terminology is for Fighters, Bombers and any other small vessels that have little or no systems on the ship to block-out hackers, ship invaders and other ship system hackers or unlawful aggressors. Only the smaller ships use this for safety measures, which we take to the fullest of our abilities. Any vessels from the small transports to any capital ships will respond by their captain or captain’s names, ship class and or rank and ship call sign.
Second, our in intention in The Republic of Liberty and the systems around its boarders is to gain information on anything we can and to learn from it to better the Runners. However I can say as well as the leader, that the laws of the Republic, that the areas as following will not be ignored, anyone from the Runners found at these locations are rogue vessels and are open to Liberty judgment. Zone 21 minefield and the station at the mouth of the field, Zone 42, Willard Research station and the area around it, and the jump hole in Colorado that leads to the Liberty Police’s (//Guard) system. All Intel we collect will remain at civilian level. no request or attempt will be made to collect information on the Naval, government, police, LSF, military stations and or planets and (//not sure if this goes with LSF or LN) the station at the mouth of the Zone 21 field.
As for the other questions on the Destroyer vessel
The other use of this ship is the Omni-ray radar system built into the ship, making it the primary Solar Runner transmission & communications vessel and radar array. The part of where it can moor is up to the navy, as I know some stations or planets are restricted to capital ship mooring such as Newark, if possible, Bethlehem station in the Pennsylvania system if the leader of said base approves of it.
And to where I got this ship is a long story, but to make it short, my older and aged Corvo finally gave out after all its years in space and I traded it in for a more armored and heavy ship, and the Fearless was the closest thing without going to (//house, including the outcasts, corsairs and gallic) military warships. The ship is armed with no more than two ‘razors’ and two pulses for those pesky pirate or terroristic war-ships and then the rest is only a lay out of five ‘basic’ cruiser class turrets.
