What are freelancers allowed to do when they come across a transport actively being pirated? I ran into such a thing in Colorado, and am still awaiting clearance to hunt bounties in that area. I know the ID says I can escort traders, but do I actually have to get them to accept me as an escort before I can defend them? That would be hard to do while a pirate is in the middle of asking them for money.
They have to either pay you to hunt/bounty the people shooting at them, or pay you to escort them. And yes they have to accept your escort before you can.
I'm not entirely certain about the escort clause, but I know the bounty rule has a minimum bounty of 1mil.
