Is this a normal problem? Anything I typed in chat took about 5 minutes to show up (if at all) and I was unable to dock with anything, be it trade lanes or stations.
0% is normal/good. 1-3% is ok. More than that and there is some serious issues
You're best bets are to hardwire in (if you're currently using wireless) and to stop any other internet using program while you play. If it's still to high, you may have to get faster internet.
I suppose you have lag, one of "those". Check it by typing "/ping". It will show your ping measured in milliseconds, it's fluctuation, percent of your connection's loss and lag. Literally, the word "lag" means "delay", in this case referred to your signal.
There can be numerous causes:
- maybe you live far from the server's base. If you do, you should also have quite large ping, what is everything above, for example, 150ms;
- you might have something downloading, uploading, facebook on, or maybe you-tube, while you are playing;
- it is possible that your internet is a low budget crap. Cheap, but crap. Bloody economical crisis;
- there are more possibilities, but I can't remember them, or they are too abnormal to be important.
Also, you were able to dock with things, but you just had to wait for a very, very long time, so long that it would be much less annoying to just log out.
I hope I helped you, or at least helped someone to help you!
Bah, ninjad again.

if you are wifi connected try to move your usb key, try that when you are in fl window server at this place you can see your ping and if you have a laptop try to move with him to see if the ping is different!
