I am returning from my patrol, ETA in 10 minutes. My ship has substained medium damage. I am sending the recon images to you now.
It appears our cousins are closer then we initially thought, I found an asteroid base alot like Cali in the asteroid field nearby in grid E7
20 minutes later I stumbled upon a jumphole in grid G4 after running some scans I decided to jump through.
Arrived at the other side I found myself in a dense cloud, being fired upon by defense platforms. I took some direct hits before I managed to get away and most of my systems are malfunctioning. I'm afraid they also managed to hit the high definition camera... and my navmap ... I think the jumphole is being guarded by 4 or 5 platforms.
Upon jumping my scanners also picked up a large dense object nearby. Turns out to be a planet, I assume a gas giant but i'm not completely sure. It had a base in it's orbit but unfortunatly I couldn't get close enough to get a photograph.
Nothing more to report for now. I'm coming in for repairs.
I have been scouting the Ribeira Grande Dust Cloud and I think I've found something interesting... In grid B5 I discovered a shipwreck of which I think it's one of our cousins gladiators. I could barely make out the name that was painted on the side any more so I assume it has been there for quite some time.
More importantly, the wreck has been untouched for all that time so I managed to scrap quite some stuff from it. Maybe these are useful to do some research on, no?
By the way, Eduardo if you get this. Job well done on getting my ship back in shape on such short time.
" So who thought it was a great idea to put me in such cramped quarters?
Claes if that was your plan to get me out flying more then...I forgive for it and it did work.
But anyway, after running the debrief with Kat and uploading her scout information into the Fenise...you know it will take me a bit to get use to calling her that but anyways... I took a copy and heading south to investigate the Sair base myself finding nothing important bar a few fighters sent to try deal with me.
Dispatching three of them I was unable to kill the other which flew off early in the fight in a decent fireball as can be seen.... ugh crap .... Seems a shot to the flank of 'Leontina' blew out the storage drive and Eduardo should have a look at it, maybe even look at shifting the position of the drive so we stop losing data
Back on track I'm sorry that canibal got away Claes.
From here I heading back toward Omega 49 and started heading down to Planet Canaria. Collect a load of fuel and getting the hull repaired the Zoner engineers obviously didn't notice, or chose to ignore, the missing storage drive. But from here I swung galactic west finding some fratellas from the Mollys out on a patrol. Joining them we headed north till we got to a point they informed me that I could not continue further with them and they asked I continue my patrol eastward on my own. My shrinking rations bag suggested I head back as well so departing from the patrol I headed easterly jumping back to Omega 50 and shorting through the asteroid field back here to orbit around Boa Vista.
So sorry for not providing the visual evidence as usual, I guess I'll have to add it to Eduardo's list of repairs."
During my patrol with recluta Pinonez last night we have encountered our first Corsair warship. As we jumped to Omega-47 we found this ship in a fight with some Bounty Hunters and this fight gave me the opportunity to get close enough to gather some intel.
According to my scans the ship is protected by a positron shield and I am most definetly certain that the hull is reinforced to at least twice the standard thickness.
The arsenal of this ship exists out only one type of batteries. Each of these batteries fires twice per second and the projectiles velocity I measured to be around one thousand meters per second but they lose power at one thousand seven hundred meters. I counted twelve of these batteries but I did not spot any pulse weapons or mortars on that thing.
So a stop at a Boa Vista pub had me talking with a friendly Zoner from Gran Canaria who enthusiatically told me to go and have a look at Planet Fuerteventura in galactic south south west Omega 49. So since I realised I didn't go that way on my last patrol I followed the notes he quickly scribbled down for me and I approached the planet. What drew him to this ice box I don't know but I can confirm there is a base in orbit of Fuerteventura but docking control was decidedly quiet despite the non-hostile nature of the defence platforms.
From the planet I swung further east before heading north where I came upon a previously unknown jumphole.
Scans showed the hole was stable so I jumped through to an interesting sight.
Imediately the scanners went spastic as they couldn't receive any data from beyond a couple hundred metres. Plus the colouration was amazing, the bright vivid oranges reminded me of some of the lakes from home. Through the murk I could decifer the higher glow of a sun so I headed towards it. Breaking through the cloud I emerged unto a clearing of briliant reds. Ahead was the sun but there was a planet to my right so I headed that way. It was also at this point the scanners detected galactic north and the maps organised themselves to show they believed I entered the system in it's west.
Approaching the planet scans reveiled it had a nice ring system as well as large amount of oceans. Beyond the planet there was a base holding close to the rings.
This base which was broadcasting a name of 'Safe Haven' also confirmed the name of the planet to Planet Brailia.
Heading further east from Safe Haven I found another nebula which was bright orange just like the other. Partway into the nebula I turned galactic north and after a number of clicks I stumbled upon a jumphole which I found jumped to Omega 47. Floating just off from the jumphole a large shiplike shape could be seen although I didn't head closer. Carrying on north I came across another planet and this one was huge. Around the planet is a station can Manatum Repair Station. Like with the other planet I found from the base that this was called Planet Fuere.
Leaving these two I headed back west for the jumphole I can in and on this part I swung passed a large shipyard broadcasting the name "Antikythera Shipyard" whom I kept my distance from. Reaching the jumphole I returned to Omega 49 and the back home here to Omega 50."
Not really alot to report except for this Junker frigate I encountered near Boa Vista. I think he said something about doing bussiness with the Coalition *sighs* very nice chico though... I've taken the part of our conversation from my ships log.

Chiao!
I'm back...At last!
Three month of security service in Eta, that's not bad!
Anyway, I am ready to start patrolling and provide more info, by the way, could anyone give me some updates?
"Patrol number zero zero due for mission code named "Voices from Ship's Past".
Following intel from suppliers I took Reclutas Socrates and Morales and headed for the 'Gold Field'.
Starting solar south of the field we proceeded north arcing through all degrees and extents of the field.
Between the starting point and the trade 'routes' of the locals we acquired a total of ventisette (27) signals within the initial parameters set by the suppliers all of which upon examination failed to fulfil all extended parameters and as such were declared false results. Upon the completion of the sectorial scanning which took a reported otto hours and trentatre minutes (8h 33m) we returned to the allied staging point for refuelling, personal supplies and rest.
However in summary the southwestern sector of the 'Gold' field south of the local's 'trade route' and west of the allied staging point has been searched and verified clear."
"Patrol number zero zero tre for mission code named "Voices from Ship's Past".
Following a days rest my wingmen Reclutas Socrates and Morales and I headed back for the 'Gold Field'.
We headed east from the staging point and like our previous patrol we searched through all sectors east of the staging point and as far north as the larger of the two solar objects. Extreme care had to be taken in the northern reaches of our flights due to the locals and their patrols. Thankfully we were supported in these areas by the skilled pilots of our allies. However they were kept in the dark as to our true objectives.
Despite losing a lot of time in time wasting dogfights we can reveal that we found and assessed a total of ventitre (23) signals all of which were false results in terms of the criteria of our mission.
On a off note tre of these signals did contain portions that could be of use to the Junkers.
This scanning patrol, while a significantly smaller area took a similar time. Upon the completion of the sectorial scanning which took a reported nove hours and otto minutes (9h 8m) we returned to the allied staging point for refuelling, personal supplies and rest.
So the southeastern sector of the 'Gold' field south of the local's 'trade route' and east of the allied staging point has been searched and verified clear."
First, we started from the Rochester debris field and moved south past the central New York star, keeping out of range of general sensor traffic, we maintained ahead slow on heading 0,0,178. turning 90 to heading 0,0,88 degrees we brought the ship to a north easterly facing direction heading to the pitsbrough debris field.
the helm officer who is now in the brig had taken the ship too low in its course which had brought about the attention of a passing Helfire Legionare, we managed to escape twice but she persisted in following until she gave up. we move out of her sensor bracket pulled up and went further out into space also changing direction to 40,0,230.
We are now safe again back in open space, I fear things could have gone much worse had she wanted them to, or if that ship had been a liberty official, we must take greater care, the helm officer is in the cell beside Bonello who ive also confined to the brig for Nox intoxification. Recluta Bonello will stay in confinement until he has completely detoxified from his contraband addiction, learning from the commandante in Illario's treatment case, this appears to be the best method.
