Born on Pittsburgh to a family of miners, Corbin was drawn to the life of the security forces. Often he would sit at the landing pads, watching the ships come and go, hoping to catch a glimpse of a Police ship, or illusive LSF agent.
At the age of 16, Corbin entered flight training with a DSE initiative to provide opportunities for the children of their employees, and after working hard to gain his diploma, he signed up for the DSE escort wing. Corbin spent 7 years with DSE, babysitting convoys headed between Baltimore and Pittsburg, and occasionally further afield, but he craved more action.
Whilst his position in DSE allowed him to occasionally face pirates, such events took place far less often than he would have liked, and he quickly grew bored of the life of a convoy escort pilot.
At the age of 25, Corbin signed up for the LPI, and after submitting references from his DSE supervisors, and excelling in basic test scenarios, Police Officer James Corbin was accepted into the LPI Pittsburgh division, under Captain Dave Ellis. Over the next 5 years, Corbin excelled at combat within the Pittsburgh debris field, gaining reputation as the "Guardian of Pittsburgh", harvesting promotion after promotion until he eventually replaced Captain Ellis as leader of the Pittsburgh precinct.
More recently, 1 year ago James Corbin was secretly approached by an LSF agent on Pittsburgh and invited to put his skills to better use in the Liberty Security Force. To that end, Corbin resigned his post in the LPI last year and took his place as an LSF agent, part of Epsilon patrol wing taking a particular interest in combating the smuggling problem in New York, and ensuring the security of Liberty through continued enforcement of the Liberty Official Secrets Act.
