Just one note, to all the people out there who still dont know, and honestly A LOT dont know...Freelance is NOT ascended / better Bounty Hunter - Freelancers have nothing to do with BH at all (And forget the fact that Freelancer faction rep is affilated to BH faction rep - that really no reason to attack)... So, that is pointed at some exact indie pirates before all, Freelancers are not direct enemy to anyone... so you should try to speak or something instead of "Y red to me" or "Freelancers are enemy to us, no?" -Now im talking about real FL not about some Police IIF, Frelancer IDed guys in Navy ships floating around pirate guard systems...that is another topic...
So just please... remember Freelancer is NOT Bounty Hunter
And hint on the very end dont say things like "I attacked cos you are red to me" - Yes, if you kill a lot of BHs Freelancer faction can be red, altough this is RP server so think a little before you attack something.
Have a good day,
Elvin
P.S.: I was talking abour Freelancer for real, not about random ppls in random ships using random tag and Freelancer ID to not get attacked (Reminds me of all theese Junker/Zoner guys using that ID for safe trade, but nevermind... Altough Zoner smuggling cardi from Alpah is a stupid thing, think about that as well...Yeah Im talking to you dear *cesored* , Zoner taking slaves to Malta and Cardi to NY trough Nomad systems and Alaska is uncool)
I buy things I don't want to make an impression on people I don't like.
' Wrote:...Um just saw it again, Zoner, smuggling Malta>NY... I thought Zoners cant smuggle? Or they can?
People use the zoner tag and ID, so that regular pirates are less likely to pirate them on other lawful runs. And on unlawful ones, they are still neutral...So yea.
"Three o'clock is always too late or too early for anything you want to do."
zoners are allowed to smuggle - but its nicer not to do it routinely, but only rarely. - they don t make a living, but may take up a smuggler job every now and then. - ( bit like mercs not pirating to make a living, but they are allowed to take up a job to pirate )
The NPC freelancers are definetely lawful I havent attacked a human freelancer as yet but I hate the NPC ones with a real passion I tend to just kill them on instinct because I know they are coming right for me everytime. Basicly all I'm saying is I can understand why people hate that faction and associate it with lawfuls blame the NPC's.
Quote:is difference between freelancer and freelancer.
sorry but police tagged freelancer in police ship with police/navy weapons is for me lawfull freelancer. untagged freelancer is something different.
- Yeah I agree, I have told Im not mentioning Police-Freelancer ID etc, I mean Freelancer id with some possibly civilian/neutral ship and no or Freelancer IFF...
Theese guys in BH ships with police IFF and Freelancer ID entering pirate systems just deserve to be killed.

I know how you feel about it. The 'I see red, i press the trigger' is disturbing. Unfortunatetly, the one involved probably never went on the forum. Up to you to open the conversation or run away from the fool.
However Freelancer ID are lawful characters and under the same rules of any lawful factions. I noticed the difference with the Merc ID which allow to work with unlawfuls and execute bounty contracts (NB : FL ID character cannot execute bounty according to server rules). At the end, i'm convinced that the only way to stay independant, unwilling to join any faction, and having contacts with unlawfuls is to be Freelancer affiliated with a Merc ID.

Firstly, Im not insulting anyone, its just that most of pirates simply say "Freelancers are better Bounty Hunters" (Which is tottaly out), second, if its like when lawfull meet with unlawfull they must fight, then every pirate will be attacking Order as well (Which would be even much much worse than Freelancer:)), and third theres difference between Freelancer and Mercenary in the RP (and also most of mercs are bearing "sighn of BH", working for Goverments and such most of the times - no lie, its rere to see "true" unlawfull mercenary).
