1. Download DX8 to DX9 converter
http://enbdev.com/download_convertor_dx8todx9.htm

2. Download FXAA Post Process Injection Tool
https://www.assembla.com/spaces/fxaa-pp-.../documents

3. Extract contents of both archives into EXE/ folder

4. Run FXAA_Tool.exe - tweak as you wish

5. Run Freelancer

6. Give here screenshots Smile

Last svn version already contains dx8-dx9 converter.

What resolution are you running, and are you using custom textures?

Edit: Just noticed you're not playing on the main Discovery server. Certain texture modifications will cause you to be banned by the anticheat on said server.

There was a sig here, once.

fxaa is a post fx which doesnt require textures except back buffer color.

I made the textures comment because it looks like the planet has a custom texture. Looking at it again, it's probably just the very effect the OP was trying to demonstrate.

Resolution 1920x1080.
No custom textures - all standard.

I just tried this, in leeds and...... my eyeballs nearly fell out because of.. well it was just so bright and i was also foolish enough to get into a fight with this on... impossible! loool

yes i know you need to tweek it, but i honestly dont have the expertise to really go through every control (of where there are maaaaaaanny) and tweek each one.

I had to leave the fight and log out and restore my exe folder.

i think if i entered Tau 37 with this mod on my monitor would just display a white screen the bloom would be so bad. if people thought there eyes bled before, you aint seen nothing yet Big Grin

I might use this if somebody were to spend the time optimising the settings for freelancer, so i could "monkey see monkey do"

otherwise.. :S nope.

Choose only Sharpen and AntiAliasing (optionaly), switch the others to off - it will look like HD mod.
For taste you may switch HDR option on - set all to minimum.
But keep sunglasses for extreme situations (!) - joke.

Tried it out with Neo Terra, couldn't get very much to look good and the few things I could improve taxed my system too heavily to be worth using. Then again, seeing as how we're using better textures, that probably has a lot to do with it.

I'm not quite sure how to get it working. I followed the instructions, but it doesn't seem to be working.
