Hey, Jane.
Greenson just forwarded me some interesting reports. A forward Navy wing managed to deploy short term satellites behind Gallic lines, and they've been making a note of their troop and logistical movements. I've been working on charting it out, and I believe we could hit them in the face.
Forwarding Operation Viper details. It's a proposal, see if you can spare people for the job.
Lewis, out.

Listen in,
A few hours ago we received word of a Gallic supply train moving into your area. Remote observation has them arriving in Orkney from Languedoc in four hours. Long range scans indicate a light hostile presence, primarily medium transports. It's probable that they're headed toward Bretonian space to resupply enemy forces fighting on the Leeds front.
As the only force available in the sector, you are to divert to Orkney and intercept the Gallic convoy before it can jump to Tau-23. Recommend you utilize Westray Asteroid Field for concealment and hit the convoy at F4. While Dounby Station is still believed to be operational, we cannot assume that it is not under Gallic control. Consequently, it is to be avoided. A map of the area of operations has been attached.
You are to seize all cargo carried by the convoy and return it to Liberty space for analysis by Naval Intelligence.
Good luck.
Hartman, out.

****TRANSMISSION TERMINATED****
Event outline.
This will be a freighter/transport event only (excluding Liners)
A Gallic convoy is seeking to resupply invading forces based out of the Battleship Carcassonne in Tau-31, carrying supplies of food, water, and equipment vital to the continued Gallic war effort. Short-lived intelligence satellites hidden in the Westray Field have detected signs of the convoy's departure preparations, and a Logistics Unit resupplying defenders on Planet Harris has been diverted to intercept it.
The Liberty side wins if they are able to seize or destroy more then half of the convoy's cargo (6900 Units). The Gallics win if they either destroy the Liberty interceptors or reach Carcassonne with at least half of their cargo remaining.
Since there's a fair bit of space out there, team leaders will make contact with each other in-game to confirm that everyone's ready before the event starts.
Participants.
The event will be composed mostly of [LN] and GRN| players. Indies are welcome to participate if the official faction is unable to make up the numbers; however, faction members will be given priority in terms of spots.
Each side will field 2 Freighters (Grizzlies/Aurochs')and 3 Heavy Transports (Bisons/Vaches). The GRN transports will load as follows...
1) Food
2) Water
3) Basic Alloy/Other material (whichever is conveniently available.)

That's just the problem we've been working on (the turret imbalance may have slipped my mind), though Liners could work out quite nicely. I'll ask around a bit, and we should have it sorted shortly.
That said, if any balance gurus out there have any suggestions to even things out, they'd be very welcome.
