One of out members contacted [The_Angels]Rusty_Lens i believe and that is where we got the 10 members idea from. We know that it takes 500 million credits to become a official faction and we are currently working towards that number. No member that of Incom that I am aware of is using the Talon anymore. The standard fighter is the Raven Claw which is in RP for us to use as LSF allies. The top three commanding officers, myself, Spike.Spiegal, and Wolf.Starr, fly the Havok Mk II, which as im sure you all know was developed by Ageira.
The name Incom was chosen by me because I like it. This forum has become the place to come to learn about factions and this thread explains what our buisness is. I have no problem explaining in PMs during gameplay what Incom is, and any others intersted will find what it is here. Other factions such as the SA don't really have context clues as to who they are affiliated with but people find out. Southern Alliance could be an alliance of many different thing, and as a former SA pilot I can say that I have been asked what SA was. I'm sure once word gets around what we are doing everything will play itself out.
Next, I would like to cover any RP issues that anyone has. Our new recruits will be taught to RP and will be told what they can and can't do while on the server. The Talon fighter was my mistake and has been fixed. As i have stated before I am a former SA pilot which would explain why I know about Alaska and what is in the system. I don't appreciate being KoS in Liberty or any other system that enjoys using the trade lanes and jump gates. I believe it to be common knowlegde that Ageira has a good relationship with most lawful factions, including LSF, LPI, and Liberty Navy. So i would like to take this time to tell everyone that this faction WILL play by RP rules and we do look forward to sharing the Sirius sector with everyone who plays.
Ageira Technologies is one of the "Big Three" Liberty companies and is responsible for the development of Jump Gate and Trade Lane technology.
You are not a military organization, You are a civilian corporation.
You are only, By RP, allowed to use these ships:
Havok II
Eagle
Griffin
Hawk
and any other civilian ship
You might be friendly with LSF, LN/SA and LPI, but that doesn't mean that you can fly our ships without asking first. The Raven claw is an LSF STEALTH ship. Such ship is only flown by LSF and not sold to public:
XV-736 "Raven Claw" Assault Fighter
Raven Claw is an agile and fast heavy fighter with extended stealth capabilities. Initially developed by Kishiro Technologies, this ship was stolen from Planet Honshu by LSF agents. Several copies were built in Liberty later; LSF successfully used them for covert missions in different areas of Sirius.
Where does it state that Ageira tech. can fly them? commercial alliance isn't enough to justify the use of these ships.
A Corporation in USA may be really friendly with authorities, but do you think the military would let them fly B-2 bombers and F-117? No, not even the maker of these ships is allowed to fly them nor sell them to his employees.
I understand your point sir. But I do believe that anyone can fly to the Battleship Rio Grande and purchase the Raven Claw if they want it. I have encoutered many a bounty hunter in Raven Claws and for a ship that is not sold to the public I find it very interesting that Bounty Hunters are using them. If you are going to crack down on this company for using the fighter you should crack down on anyone who flys a Raven Claw. Like you said the US government doesn't let F18s out to anyone, and I'm sure they wouldnt allow bounty hunters to use their fighers. And, for the record, where does it state that Ageira Tech can't?
I'll go ahead and decomission the Raven Claws for know. You will see the fleet in Havoks from now on, but please be adivsed sir that burning bridges with allies isnt very smart.
Well, as you PRODUCE Havoks, you can certainly fly them. I'd say to stay away from military tech unless you have a very good reason to use it. Just saying "we're friends with the people who use it" isn't quite enough. Now, about those Bounty Hunters... they really shouldn't have had them. As for decommissioning them: good job. Nice to see that you're willing to adapt. If you want ships outside of the civilian line (Eagle, Hawk, etc.), then try making a reasonable in-RP deal with the faction that makes those ships.
Good luck with this. I hope you manage to work this out. Oh, and don't get too discouraged if you make mistakes here, even if the community is kinda harsh sometimes. There's been some real idiots in the past, and sometimes people can get a bit... twitchy. If you make a mistake and people start yelling about it, then just go ahead and try to fix it, and ask our forgiveness. Oh, and make sure you take a good, long look at the rules. That always helps.
this evening I had an encounter with one of your people..In Malta...The attitude I recieved was this.. Since the Incom player was in a clan and I wasn't..Thrakhath..outcast independant.. He said I should basically step aside..WRONG ANSWER..everyone is equal here..whether being in a "clan" or not!
This is the wrong way to begin here on Discovery. Let alone being in Omicron Alpha in the first place.
Look guys..I am all for new clans..official or unofficial..But there is no superiority here except for the Admins.
Why don't you join an official faction first, to get into the rules of the server? This would anyway be the best way for every new player. Roleplay, earn trust... and then maybe think of starting a new faction.
Just one thing, you say you were a member of the SA, that's alright I saw your application, but I never saw you online on your SA, second, if you were member of the SA you'd know that saying Alaska in system chat is strictly forbidden, and would have been punished by death more or less unless you stopped. Otherwise I'm okay with this faction, as long as you follow the rules and laws of Liberty and other places you travel through.
