[To]Commodore John Talon, Liberty Navy & Director Brian Copeland, LSF
[From]Aiden Pharar
Good evening Commodore Talon and Director Copeland.
Earlier this evening Ageira ships were banned from Rheinland. Information concerning this event can be found here. What I have come here for is this: The reason that Ageira ships are banned in Rheinland is because of the trade embargo in place with Rheinland. My question to you sirs is, is this embargo still in place? If not then please communicate this with Rheinland Military. If it still is in effect, please enforce it more. I haven't seen anything in place to prevent traders from Rheinland from entering Liberty space. AT&E will handle the matters at hand but if you would address these issues i would greatly appreciate it.

Greetings sir,
Indeed the Embargo is still in place, but Liberty is also struck by a few internal problems, Two Battleships are suppose to watch the gates in Texas. However, they had some repairs to do. They will soon be back in place, enforcing the law.
Be carefull in the near future, things are starting to lock grin with Rheinland.
It's really stupid of rheinland to keep ageira out of their space.
As far as I'm concerned, if they're willing to go to that extent, then no players should be able to use jump gates or trade lanes in rheinland systems. Ageira has an exclusive contract and is the only group in all of sirius that knows how to make the lanes and gates work.
I'd like to see just how long rheinland lasts when their ships cant move from one system to another, liberty would be able to take out their entire house quite easily if that were the case, as the rheinland fleets would be seperated and unable to assist one another.

What be the meaning of this, only adressing the LSF and Navy?! As far as I be concerned, this is out of the LSF's jurisdiction, though I see their ships enforcing the embargo. If ya ask me, if there's gonna be an embargo, it should be a joint Police/Navy op. O' course, no one asked little old me, so apparently all ma boys be good for is munchin' donuts and issuing tickets, and when we do anything resemblin' "work" everyone goes "The LPI can move?". Har, ya daft foos be regular comedians... Meanwhile, we be on da streets, putting criminals and innocents I MEAN DRUGGIES behind bars. Whatever, if you all need help with this "embargo" thingy, just come by Sunbucks... The Precinct works good, too.

// This belongs in the RP section... And thanks for giving me an opportunity to steer the LPI to a more serious role.
Guys, DSE fixes the lanes....Ageria only manufactures the parts.
Also, this is not in the RP forum at all....
And the lane hackers also know how the gates work, ergo, other people can fix them. Besides which, Gates are created to be able to support emergency civilian movements, which implies they wouldn't shut down.
Remember Kusari ? Kishiro has asked for Aigera to build up a JG Hokkaido/Chugoku in that purpose (bar rumor) :
The Shogun idea for this gate to be made in this unhospitaly area could seem stupid, but it is in purpose... After the gate is finished, moving to Chugoku would be quite impossible, and making another gate here would be foolishness. So, the project would be "abandonned", and Kishiro would have a whole piece of Aigera's tech to study quietly in a remote system...
The Shogun can look stupid sometimes, but Kusari is far to be [propaganda stuff]...
See, well, this isn't the True text, but that's what I remember from this... Of course, gate hasn't been finished ingame... But that's the main idea. I guess, in case of need, Rheinland could pay a fortune to Kusari to get gate/lane technology, and then, get free from Aigera...
One last thing : I'm not sure... Aigera created gate/lane technology, but... It's DPS who makes and maintain them, no ?
OK for gentle RP, OK for gentle PvP too. What do you prefer ?
Hurk hurk hurk...

As this is not in an RP forum I will add my 2 credits. We have a commodity called "Tradelane/Gate Parts" that can be openly purchased in various location in Siruis. To me that means that the parts to fix TL's and JG's are available to anyone who can trade for them. So it would just be about the technical knowhow, which after all these years could hardly be expected to remain a secret.
Also, Tradelanes actually say on them who they belong to. There are some that I have seen that belong to DSE, but the TL's in Rheinland say they belong to the Rheinland Police.
I'm not sure if you gave all the pieces of a MiG-1 to a bunch of american engineer without any instruction manual, they would be able to make anything like a plane out of it..

I have to disagree with you there xing. Most militaries have significant reverse engineering groups in their intelligence services. Billions of dolors and thousands of man hours that take any piece of enemy technology and break it down to it's components and figure out how it worked. Really all the Rhienlanders should have to do is take a TL and reverse engineer it.
Another likely scenario would be that Rhienland Intelligence infiltrated DSE or Ageria, and stole the plans. Then all they would need were the parts, which are freely available.
