Now really- what makes a group scary is the way they behave and fly and not their tech.
So throw some average or good players in a group, let them train together, then send them out to spread their love and you will get a scary enough group...problem is that will cause more than enough hard feelings that this group might be curbstomped immediatly for disruptive gameplay...

Sure, we need more players who can kill everything on sight in house space with lame reason. Because currently we have too many players who do so much RP and almost nobody is using /l1, /l2, pew pew, killing scenario...
Killing other characters =/= bad roleplay. You can have a bad rp encounter without getting killed, and a good rp encounter where death was the only possible outcome all along.
Yes, I'd rather like to be held up by an evil terrorist, be scared, and fear for my rp-life than pay 2 million and fly off laughing all the way to the bank - just like I'd rather have pirates asking me for 50% of my cargo worth than for a cup of sugar. What I don't like is people attacking my trader because they - as players - just want an easy kill, but as it has been said you can meet people that do that on ANY ID.
But it's true - if you want to see a 'dangerous' group, which'll make you cry and (I quote) "make you bleed out of your eyes, nose and ears" everytime you encounter them - people should first stop whining and (successfully) complaining about 'overpowered' tech. The 'balancing' of nomad tech took away all the fun. For both sides.
I would argue against that. Needing 10 vhf to down a single nomad vhf was not fun, just boring as hell, when you are REQUIRED to overkill to that degree. Remember that in SP nomads dident have sheilds, so if you want real rp they shouldent have those either.
Look, truth is since the nomad war sirian weapons have advanced quite a bit INRP, look at the new cerberus weapons etc.
(i tend to RP those new heavys as retrofit primarys)

Back a few mods when anyone could use nomad tech things were much better, and more fun. Had the odd OORP player, but hell we got 1/3 bad RP players now in everything else so who cares right?

People "whined" because only the high and mighty, and there friends could use this tech no one else in game could use. That creates Elitism, and hatred, and jealousy.

Ahhhh to bad. Try the junker tech sometimes mate. All of the junker gear is sub-standard to all other groups. So you have 2 bad ships, poor little girls, keep on crying now. If they had open ID, they would have numbers, and no more ganks.
The Phantoms were also a closed faction that died, and admins said would stay dead. At the end they had no RP, just pew pew all in sight. That is not needed in Disco. We got noob pirates for that.
The nomads.. It honestly just looks like the devs don't really like the nomads. They refuse to give them cloaks when the Nomads are the inventors of the Tech, and they have been severely nerfed. It is very hard to get accepted into the K'hara and yet the tech is not really much diffrent then the humans. Its dont 'dangerous' enough as it should be. Something thats been bothering me for ages, yet the devs will never agree to make them stronger in my belief..
Hope? Oh hell no. I do not hope they get anything the rest of the server does not get.
Maybe, just maybe, the devs are being fair to entire server, and not picking on a select few that think they are better then the rest of us, and hense have better gear.
Or maybe some of the devs were denied access to Nomads in past, and now they got power to get revenge(I know i would)
Or maybe.....Well who cares. The server is supposed to be open to all, it is not. It was in the past, then some friends got together and somehow got admins to take away nomad tech from entire server, and give to them only. Well i really do not feel sorry for them.
