As a result of my talk with the Rheinwehr Oberkomando (can be found here and read only status) i am contacting you, to see what it will cost the ALG - R&D to get a Vessel like the Carrier without the Weaponary.
We need such a vessel because of the enormous power output such a vessel like this has.
I contacted both CEO's at the same time to see how best to deal with it.

Guten Abend Herr Becket,
I contact you to inform your request was denied by the Board.
The Board of Directors wishes good luck though to our good business partners from Republican with constructing light battleship in civilian shipyard, especially in situation they lack plans, as we didn't share them with anyone.
Your request is unusual, considering the Rheinland Military is not giving out any of it's technology to civilian corporations, save for a few exceptions of small spacecraft.
You are now requesting access to the newest and most modern capital ship Rheinland has to offer, which is produced for the sole purpose of gaining the upper hand against the Libertionian aggressors. Nearly all of them are currently on the front, fighting for Rheinland's security.
I don't know who divulged any details about the Westerwald nebula, but I suggest you stop digging any further - It is of no concern to civilians.
Let me repeat myself - All capital ships made for the Rheinland Military are sent directly to fight in the war, so we cannot spare even a single one to civilians for the purpose of testing jump drive technology.
However:
If you provide Daumann and Republican with materials, credits and manpower to construct a vessel able to perform jumps with similar specifications as the Elbe-class carrier, but without the necessary heavy-duty combat modifications - ensuring that no resources would have to be diverted from the construction and upkeep of Rheinland's fleets - then we would not have any objections to such a vessel being constructed. Naturally, it would look similar to an Elbe-class carrier, but without the capability to support any weaponry, which is not the purpose of that ship anyway.

Gunter Weissman
