I roleplay an LSF agent (not part of =LSF=) who is sort of an undercover agent. I take my assignments from my contacts located in various locations in Liberty Space. My assignments have sent me in many different systems, and recently I have been assigned to collect Nomad technology for study. This took me to Zone 21 (somewhere I had to go anyway to get my LSF Tag initially). While playing today I was approached by an =LSF= agent who told me that if I would be in there again I would be put onto a KOS list... That access to this area is strictly by the top brass of SA and LSF. I can understand the roleplay aspect of this, but I am LSF, not Navy or LPI... My job (in my opinion and as I see it) is not to scan for contraband and patrol for pirates. If I come across a pirate or hear a distress call I will answer it, but i see my role as more of a James Bond (total cliche, I know) type character.
So why put an LSF "independent agent" (not in =LSF=) on a KOS list for doing (as he sees it) his job? I have no problem roleplaying in this server, but I would like to do it in a way that is fun for me as well, and to be attacked by people in my faction for playing the way I think I should, is a little ridiculous. I am kind of on my own here, because technically all of this is just "my story" and has nothing to back it up - only my RP. Nothing has happened as of yet - as I said I was only warned, but for me to come out of the blue and request clearance would be ooc for me (surely my contact would arrange it through). I will be purchasing a Nomad license with my character because for me that is part of the job (making it easier to keep people out of my business).
This is my first RP, so maybe I am way out of line... Thanks for reading.
I had an admin tell me if you have proper ID/TAG/SHIP there is no reason RP/game wise the "faction's" should stop you. If they fire on you,and kill you take screens of it.and let them explain to admin's why they did it. Lots are just getting to be to power hungry, and want their faction buddies to have only access. This is not a guard system, and as such NO faction can KOS a legal char from being their.(although some think they can)(some think rules do not apply to them).
So just take screen's of the conversation, and of them firing on you/killing you, and let the admin's determine who is ooRP/PVP whoring. Simple enough as no matter what people say here, the admin's make/enforce rule's. Not the player's or faction's.(unless it is an owned guard system)

Z21 is restricted even to the most high in the Navy and the LSF... And while you may be LSF and Undercover and all, I don't think that could cut it...
Plus there was a rumor of Navy Ships guarding Z21 who opened fire on another Patrol who refused to leave the area.

If i had known this a few months ago perhaps I'd still be playing virago.
Ok I will pony up as the guilty LSF he is talking about.. However I think He was mixing OOC and IC comments.. It did sorta get smudged.
As I eventually realized it was his first time I ended up marking it off as such and didn't even look at putting him on the KoS list. Sorry I forgot to mention that too you. I was really tired last night and soon logged off the game. Sorry if i did over step my bounds, when you have had to chase and chase and chase people claiming things like this it gets brain fusing at times....
I did eventually point him to the forums to post about it and get things cleared up. And since he is here I think things will be fine. Considering how I saw him handle things last night I am sure he will be a great Roleplayer for the disco server.
