Chat from Other Players not registering in Chat History [MOVED]

Exactly what it says on the tin. Basically, one of my accounts' characters can't receive system chat from other people. I mean I -technically- get them, but they don't show up in the chat history.

When I turn on chattime, the addition of the message's time being received is there, but no message text after. When it's off, there's absolutely nothing.

Tried it with my other accounts, and they work fine.

Don't know if this is char-specific, because I only have one character in that account. I did try restarting both the client, AND restarting my laptop. Nothing works. Before, it used to be only exclusive to receiving system chat from other people. Now I don't know if local and/or private are also affected.

affected character name is BM|LL~Madrid.

Can any techies help pls?

really? no one can answer this? granted, the chats now occasionally work fine, but on some occasions other people's messages still don't register in chat history, just the timestamps.

and honestly, it's haunting me quite a bit, what with me not being able to know what the other person just said.
