PC is not getting BF: Bad Company, no, which is unfortunate, but consoles will not be getting Battlefield: Heroes.
So it evens itself out. I, for one, am extremely excited for BF: Heroes.
Battlefield hero's isn't really aimed at the hardcore player it is aimed at someone who only wants to play it for a bit in a lunch break. If you look at it as a traditional battlefield game then you are going to be disappointed. However look at it from a casual persons perspective and it doesn't seem so bad.
' Wrote:i play project reality, really brings out the teamwork, and communication. Also forgotten hope 2 is alright, and i love sandbox mod. Give me a message if you ever decide to get Project reality:P
and no, bad company is not for PC, sadly.. hard a rumor that they will be making a BF3 tho
Aha!
I used to play PR, but have recently wiped it off my HD.
I used to play it with a buddy, but we grew tired of it since the latest version(s).
It was pretty cool around 0.5, when you could just put up Rally points and spawn on more places, but the teamplay was there too. But now it's too much realism for a playerbase that consists of 40% non-teamplayers.
Selfish squadleaders, squadmates who get in tanks, planes or get a sniper rifle and leave you to rot, moronic commanders... Sure, you had those things more frequently in BF2, but that was based on arcade so it didn't really bother (besides the accidental teamkills answered by punishes... made me so angry).
Now thanks to that, you die every minute, then take 30 seconds to respawn and walk 5-10 minutes to get back on the battlefield only to be wacked by a 'sniping tank'. Imo the only way you can decently enjoy PR is when you get on a private server, fighting 32 vs 32. And the 'suppresion' effect on the latest update is just too much... Your vision gets blurry when a bullet impacts 2 meters from you in a tree? Djeez...
Sorry for the rant. It's not really the game that annoys me, it's the BF2 kiddies that downloaded the mod solely to 'own' there too.
UPDATE: They recently released a new game mode: Conquest! Anyone who has played BF games before will know this mode. its a blast to play wit the destructible environments and all.

...and assault rifles with iron sights having twice as much recoil as scoped weapons. What a load of rubbish!
' Wrote:I enjoyed Call of Duty 4 multiplayer for 10 days. Then it became a jog-trot. In terms of unlocks, maps, modes and gameplay, it's just a Battlefield 2 RIP OFF.
I can actually have more fun with Battlefield 1942 demo than CoD 4.
Maybe you should try to play it with mods.
