OK here goes my semi-rant if you see it that way.

Is it possible for the experienced players of the community and outstanding RP'ers to build up a 'How to RP' guide for the new members that can be batched with the 4.85 mod?

I mean come on, we got people who refuse to RP and PvP, while in RP constraints, don't use their imaginations and use their trigger finger. We need to improve the knowledge base and common sense of the RP world.

I think a guise or manual is in order. Sure people could browse the forum or ask others, yet some people including me at first just 'winged' it and hoped for the best. Some people come here for pure PvP of just power trading and boosting others. To me if this is RP'd logically, I can't argue. But if they don't bother, I have to find ways to get annoyed because they bug me. Most people on here RP and can spend hours to perfect it the art. Then comes along a non-rp'er and ruins it. Fun eh?

I think the guide should contain some guidelines on how to RP correct or logically and contain up to date information on each ID and faction, so they can plan easier.

Can we great a guide for new members that also include the full rules to makes sure that any rule breakers will have NO excuse? Manuals can be a good positive for a mod too.

I don't see this as being such a bad concept. I for one would love to assist in its compilation if at all possible. But it would need to be well structured in order to have the desired result.

Perhaps a competition? Person with best guide gets prizes from admins? I mean why not? I am sure the admins would approve as it could lessen their workload and make Discovery a much better place to be!

Propose it then I should say! If not a prize awarded I'm sure we can arrange for one thing or another as incentive.

Also, keep it short. Nice and short. People want to fly spaceships, not read about the various species of moss that are in danger of extinction on Planet New London.

I for one am very concerned with the survival rate of various forms of moss and lichen that grow upon New London.

Good point about keeping it short.

Keeping it short would be good. Maybe a Beginner and Advanced Version to the guide? For those who are bothered?
