I am slightly concerned about your meaning's and will state this....

We are in no way going to hinder any entrance to Omicron-74, as a founder i do not want to see any stupidity continue but in the same light we do have AI ships entering 74, not there to trade but simply harrass and make silly demands.

Lets discuss the timeline shall we and the AI attempts to harrass Zoner bases etc.

1. We then seemed previously to suffer from constant Nomad attacks and so built our defence platforms, then once they were online there was suddenly a great rise in AI ships...strange dont you think?

2. AI demanded the removal of a base above the OMI-74/ Kappa wormhole.
We removed it!

3.In the same light we asked in communications for them to do it aswell due to their station blocking entrance and exit.
They didnt bother to respond and instead ignored our request!
So we removed it, as stated on previous Communications

4. Then i came home to find one base firing on another...and why was that?
Simply the AI had fired on one station and hid under the other!

5. The AI then continually entered Omi-74 not to trade but harrass!
We have no issue with friends entering to trade but to harass and make demands is simply not tolerated!

6. I read reports from our Intelligence Network showing TAZ/Phoenix becoming more one sided against us than actually listening to our side of the events.
Infact it would closer to say they deem us terrorist or worse!
The shame i feel for them!

7. Are we wrong to defend our homes and ships from aggression?
The simple answer is NO, so if it means a force of arms to defend ourselves then so be it!

8. We were established un-officially long before the Phoenix came into being! The fact they were when i first met them based in Delta and not 74 makes me question their motives!
Infact we had issues with TAZ/OSI before regarding our Storage base some 9 mnths prior which we resolved, before i went on my Holy Pilgrimage.

9. We are happy to work with all, but not become the target of everyone's jealousy, issues or plots!

We have built a home here and hopefully some day we will be recognised as True Zoners!

As for influence from TAZ and OSI we welcome their Advice but until the Zoner Council is re-astablished there is no Order of things. And we will continue to supply our Order allies and give aid to the Corsair people.

Looking over this report, Im sorry to say, i don't entirely understand its purpose, at first glance, you seem to be mentioning an issue with a branch of AI Ships, all i can suggest is trying to open up Diplomatic channels, as OSI have little say in the happenings of Omicron 74.

As to your reports about phoenix and TAZ, i may not speak for them, but I will warn you that your words could potentially cause you some issues as they can be considered a hostile attitude, especially when you broadcast it so freely. You say you wish to make alliances, but your words are rather aggressive to the 2 closest possible allies you could have.
You are correct in saying that you are right to defend your homes, but at this time i suggest opening dialogue with Phoenix and TAZ again to see if you cannot rectify the situation, and even get aid with the AI situation.

If you are needing supplies and aid in procuring them, im sure my company can make a deal that would give you the support you need, that is all my company can offer in regards to this situation

Greetings,

Let me officially introduce myself, I am Captain Shade a member of the Phoenix Zoners. This communication does not represent the Phoenix Zoners, it simply is my own need to talk about this situation with you, Zoner to Zoner.

I have seen several events that greatly concern me in Omicron-74. I have seen this before, in the past... as I was a primary security pilot for the (]o[) Omicroners before the great exodus. I chose to stay here in the Sirius sector for my own personal reasons with several other members of the (]o[) Omicroners. We who chose to stay here united under a new name, and we called ourselves (\^/) Phoenix. During this time it was decided that we would no longer govern Omicron-74, but we would keep our eye on our old home.

My vessel (\^/)Hades was in Omicron-74 when the AI vessels were threatening to destroy your base that was "interfering" with the Omicron Kappa Jump hold. I was able to convince them to give you time, the time you needed to be able to move the base safely away from the jump hole. As this was my duty as a Zoner to look after another Zoner instillation. The AI listened to my request and they fell back to Kappa to give you a chance to move it. If I recall correctly, some of your vessels were in the area at this time, so you can seek confirmation from them about this.

As a man of reason, I have been trying to hear both sides of the story involving this escalating situation. Both from your group and also from the AI's of planet Gammu. It is my understanding that both sides of this event have been adding fuel to this fire. So both groups are responsible for this situation. The AI's seek the ability to live their "lives" as they see fit, just as we Zoners do. So in fact they are very much like us. Perhaps this is the reason why it has become like this. We all make mistakes, but learning from them is how we survive out here on the edge.

In regards to your statements in this channel:

We removed it! (This is true, you did move the base per their request. And as I was there with several other (\^/) pilots and we had asked them to give you more time to meet this request. It seems as if they were not granted the same thing as they gave you to my understanding.)

To we outsiders, it looks as if this action was some sort of revenge, as if what they had done had hurt you and your group? I can understand the need to defend yourselves as any reasonable person can, but this does look as if you wanted to hurt them back for their actions)

This would seem fitting as they had seen your response to these events as revenge as well. So the idea of an "eye for an eye" is not only a human concept but one that any intelligent life form can seem to endorse as a validation of the "pain" they had suffered. So to both sides, your point is valid as both groups are now acting very similar to one another. To point five, as the AI probably see your actions as harassment it would seem to be fitting to respond in kind... yes? I understand again, that you view Omicron-74 as your home, I also see it in a similar light as I once defended it on a daily basis myself against all types of "intruders". I learned the hard way the cost of trying to regulate the actions of others in Omicron-74. I have lost many friends and brothers and sisters due to this. The thing is, even when they harass and threaten you by standing your ground of neutrality it is a more effective tool than any weapon there is. Our ideals can never die as long as we hold true to them brothers. If they fire on you, then by all means defend yourself! But until that shot smashes into your shields, let you belief in our ways keep you safe from harm.

I do not see you as a terrorist or worse...I just see your actions and it reminds me of darker days for us Zoners. I do not want the same thing to happen to you and yours that we once had happen to us. And you feel shame for us? Why because we chose to ask questions and try to hear both sides of a conflict? Is that not the nature of arbitration and neutrality? Please let us come to our own conclusions about this as we are people of reason. Then let me say this, let me hear your side of things! I have asked a few of your pilots about it but I need more information. We are not working against you, we are not "plotting", we are not trying to usurper your control of your own lives.)

So we have been around for a great deal of time, many many years in fact. More importantly, I do not understand why this would even matter? Why does it matter when we came into being nor when you came into being? Does this somehow take away from the fact that we are Zoners too? We just have a slightly different perspective then you do it seems. But does this validate your hostilities towards another group? And why should you question our motives, when it seems as you do not know us very well at all? All I'm trying to do is understand your perspective so please don't take this offensively)

So please feel free to contact me privately if you want, I will listen with an open mind to what you have to say. After reading your message I had to comment, because I had to set the record straight from my perspective. Alright, that's a good thing nobody started to point fingers. Your transmission, Phoenix Shade, is warm with care and comprehension, I recommend you, Tri Udent, to poke a private channel and talk about the situation with him.

Now for the big part. I'm Dan Silince. I speak as an individual, Zoner, and not on behalf of the organization I work for (the ZHR). I've done a lot of reading, and that wasn't wasted. I don't like the way things keep escalating when they don't have to. I want to share what I have gathered about the all affair, or what have happened so far. Note that I'm far from having all the clues, but it can help to understand how it began exactly and why the situation is what it is right now. I hope people will find this as clear and understandable as possible. I may be wrong on numerous point but i will try to add any source of information when I state something. Log the Phoenix Shade's transmission for more details.

First thing, directly at your intention Tri Udent, there is a peace comm with people working hard to settle things nicely. If you have anything to add on a group or individual involved in the affair, you are more than welcomed to do so on that specific comm. But please do not open another channel about the very same topic and debate when you can help somewhere else. There is too much confusion on the neural-net already regarding the tension with the AI.

Your concerns, shown in this timeline, relate to the very feeling that chilled us cold when the Nomads tried to force their way into "our" world: our peace is threatened and we need to keep our people secured. We Zoners feel all the same. That's what make us a family. The measures to build the Kappa Base, as I found rushed, were taken in that regard, and it's reasonable measures all considered. The NCC work for active and concerted protection is very, very welcomed. But, looking closely to your reasoning, I somehow find that the elements your are using in the timeline too much oriented, when they're not that literal. Let me explain.

• Regarding the AI incident:
  
  The Skynet AI have tried to find somewhere to settle for quite a time now. They have found Gammu as a good spot. Their wishes could have been granted with great interest, but, like before, they failed to at least talk about it to their direct neighbor (or communicate their intentions to faction leaders at best). You can find here an example of consequence. This lack of communication is a clear mistake on the AI part, especially due to the tension in the environment at the time, and maybe their base placement itself wasn't the wisest too. I don't think they wanted to do bad, but they didn't manage to do it right...
  
  So what should have happened happened: a straight warning was given by Tel-Aviv, a fellow Zoner I suppose was able to put such claim. A delay was put to 48 hours, severe but makes sense due to the Zoner needs to access Gammu, and we needed the AI to react fast.
  But don't you see a big problem here ? This is where complications needlessly appeared. The Zoner called Zoner-Mow, a friend of yours, put the same warning without real reason. Worst, when the matter were already prepared to be handled by some Zoners, Mow had, with his friends, on is own destroyed the Gammu base, within 24 hours, when the 48 hours delay wasn't even ended.
  
  And that confused the hell of everybody.

• The AI response:
  
  The AI didn't reacted to the prior warnings. That's the same lack of communication it has shown from the beginning, but here, it was cut off without even having the time to explain itself. Worst, Skynet called it straight "a global Zoner attack" by mistake because it didn't realized what happened in details, and threatened to open conflict with our dear faction (countering with our own bases positioning in O-74). When only one individual pushed the idea of a threat too far...
  And when you think about it, Skynet has some rights to claim reparations for the damages that the individual (Zoner-Mow) has perpetuated, and directly to this one person. For the simple fact that the attacker acted prior to any Zoner-concerted strike force and before the end of the first self-established decent delay of a decent Zoner representative. The legality of any Zoner action of this scale in Kappa may be discussed (and that point helped to accentuate the confusion and rage of other groups for sure), but it doesn't change that Zoner-Mow has something to settle on his own with the AI regarding the base destruction. I see there a private matter between Skynet and Mow. It would not be the group to answer the base destruction, but the individual an his partners. If he chooses not to answer it, Skynet would be free to react however it wants toward him/them (hostile behavior, maybe bounty, or whatever). If it was official elimination, then It was brutal for sure. And Zoners weren't insensible to that.

• The Factions feedback:
  
  The escalating of threats have shocked many Zoner groups and other factions seeing that we, Zoners, can push violence to justify the end. They even have denounced the attack. Some don't even want to be associated with the removal. They see it as a private matter too, and don't want to feel included when the "all Zoners of O-74" gets out without their rightful consent.
  
  Some Zoner groups like the Phoenix, involved in the Lividia Shipyard security, have agreed to rethink the way Omicron-74 is protected, for everyone involved in this system. So in the interest of Skynet too. It's important because it very helps to calm things down and appease the tension. And then people, machines or not, are more likely to listen.
  
  As for TAZ and OSI, these people have worked a lot to preserve our very interests, of freedom and human relations, their own honorable way (should I give a neural-net link to that, really ?). And if they don't like what you suggest or how you behave, there may be a reason. Ask them.

• For how it' is going on so far...
  
  Of course the matter with Skynet is far from being closed (legality in Kappa space, Zoner action in Kappa space, relationship between AI and Nomad). I would like it be to found in the hand of the big Zoner groups, because they have the most important impact in diplomatic matters, whether we like it or not, and it's very (very) sensible matter. However it will be resolved, I recall from that experience that further non-concerted actions mean personal responsibility: our dearest groups are NOT to answer for everybody's crazy fancies.
  Even if it seems right, it can have dire consequences...

So I'm not really sure what you are suggesting right now in your long thread, Tri Udent. But I understand that violence is often the answer to violence, and we all wished to avoid this cursed circle. Propagating confusion and discord among ourselves and allies can put the entire Zoner existence in peril of war. Because, you know, that's what help the enemy.
You're not helping yourself to state grave accusations that are found without proofs of any kind. Don't give us a Zoner that jumps straight to conclusion.

Then again if you have something quite tangible to show, share, warn, inform the whole Zoner community and main Zoner groups, do it the right way and where it has to be, and you'll help a lot.

I would like to just say that I Zoner-Mow has tried to sort this issue with skynet personally.
But it seems to be a one sided arguement...
As a leader I was the first to openly admit to doing wrong and making a mistake.
But on the other hand as clearly pointed out its not a one sided story.
I'm more then willing to close this matter once and for all with skynet.
But yet to date they won't accept any responsibility for there own collective of ships hostile actions and expect me to
take all the blame...
By just giving me a choice of options for reparations is not good enough.
Both parties need to admit they did wrong to ever stand a chance of peace....
