Wow, it's been a while. I'm not sure if you'd remember me, I flew escort for your brother a couple of times. That was before I ditched the Osprey, so over a year now, I'd say. Either way, it was a surprise to see your Comms ID pop up on my screen. Not the bad sort of surprise, mind. Not that I find there's really too many of them around, when you look into it. Most things have something good to offer, in some way or another. At least, that's how I see things.
Can't believe there's another fanatic running around set on exterminating the K'Hara. Seems to be the 'in' thing, these days. So, perhaps not that unbelievable after all, on consideration. But I'm getting ahead of myself. Or behind. I never could tell the difference in conversation. Do they have a front and a back? It's a very hazy area of study.
Anyway, it was good to see someone else sticking up for them, and doing it far better then I could have, really. I've got a tendency to just insult people like that. It's really not a great trait to have, so thanks for stepping up before I went and said something stupid.
How have things been for you and your brother? Last I heard you working on getting a gunboat geared up for an expedition.
I gave up on Zoner-ing and eventually made my way back to Liberty, although I'm still staying on a Zoner base. Funny how that's worked out. My father used to say that the more things changed the more the stayed the same. I suppose I'm living proof of that. I did come into possession of a transport of my own though. It can't fly properly at the moment, but I'm hoping to get it to a stage where automated systems can take care of most of the basic stuff. Everyone needs a hobby, right?
Anyway, good to see you (metaphorically speaking).

Sarah, it's just wonderful to hear from you.
I do remember you, of course. I cannot believe we were only just setting up the RV when we last spoke.....
At this point, I've spent weeks, probably months on that ship exploring Sirius, mostly in the Edge Worlds, but pretty much everywhere else as well.
I daresay I remember few people from so long ago, particularly by name and particularly considering we never spent a huge amount of time together.
What I mean to say is, meeting you was clearly more memorable than most people I've encountered.
As for my brother Edwin: We spent a great deal of time together on our RV, traveling with our science team.
I can scarcely believe it, but apparently you knew us before he got the ship of his dreams, a cruise liner, and ever since then I'm afraid to say we have spent increasingly less time together.
Most of our contact these days is in the form of long-range transmissions across half the sector.
And in regards to that.....hot-headed, nomad-hating individual: I do try to stay diplomatic, even towards unreasonable people.
I can absolutely understand your position, though. Trying to be nice all the time can be taxing, and in this case I doubt it made any difference anyway.
I have become increasingly more fascinated with the K'Hara myself, due to a number of events. Everything I told that man was sincere, not just to create a counterpoint but because I do truly believe in it.
In any case, I'm very happy to hear you're doing alright.
So you're fiddling around with AI systems on your ship? I do a small amount of programming myself, it's necessary with the massive, customized computer setup we have on this ship, but for anything major I tend to consult the experts.
Like you said though, it's good to have a hobby.
And once again, I'm very happy to hear from you. I do hope we can meet again some time in the nearer future - nearer at least, than the time since we last met.
