Introduction
The United Peoples of the Free Terran Republic, or the Free Terran Republic, is a small nation located in the system of Omega-49, with the last census showing approximately 100,000 holders of Terran citizenship. Founded on April 4th, 820 AS, the FTR is a representative democracy, with a 50-seat Terran Assembly, and headed by the President of the Free Terran Republic. Terran society is made up of a wide diversity of individuals from all corners of Sirius, though all have a fervent belief in humans rights and freedoms, and will go to any length to protect them. Due to the diverse nature of the people, it is hard to pin down any real cultural identity within their ranks, though some persistent trends seem to arise within most. History, especially that of pre-Sirius origin, is respected and archived with great care. People within the nation are accepting of others, regardless of social status, race, nationality, sexual orientation, or gender. However, there is a certain stigma against Cardamine users, and the government itself keeps a very close eye on distribution and use of Cardamine, relegating it to only amounts necessary to survive for users. Terrans also have a tendency of being very distrustful, and even rude with members of House organizations.
Free Terran Republic Military
Many Terran citizens are members of the Free Terran Republic Military, or the FTRM, which consists of the Free Terran Space Navy (FTSN) and the Free Terran Marine Corps (FTMC).
The FTSN's primary mission is to defend Terran sovereignty, citizens, assets, and allies. They mostly field snubcraft, with the occasional gunboat. To see anything larger is extremely rare, as the current logistic situation of the Republic makes it difficult to field such ships. As such, the FTSN favors hit-and-run attacks when on the offensive, utilizing small and agile teams of snubcraft to cause as much damage within a small amount of time, and exfil from the area ASAP, utilizing any available gunboats and capital ships to cover the escape route. From a defensive perspective, the military doctrine of the FTSN encourages a soldier to use every advantage available, including environmental hazards and additional allies. Within the branch, many officers are described as having great respect for their enemies, and tend to be admired among the population as noble and charismatic individuals.
The FTMC is the branch of the FTRM used for not only station and ship defense, but also specializes in infantry combat on enemy installations, ships, and territory. Utilizing the once-primitive rail gun and gauss rifle designs, they employ firearms using solid projectors over energy weapons in combat, due to the ability of a well-placed shot to bypass shields entirely, and wreak absolute destruction on an enemy body. Infamous for employing less than savory weapons and tactics against the enemy, witness accounts have shown them to use chemical and biological weapons against enemies, executing surrendering enemies on the spot, crude and brutal interrogation methods, and even strapping explosives to themselves in order to avoid capture. Ironically, the one rule of war they seem to obey almost religiously is to avoid civilian casualties at all costs, sometimes taking enemy forces head on to avoid endangering innocents. If one thing can be said about each Marine, it is that they attempt to win at any cost, and have often gone far above and beyond the call of duty to aid their fellow soldiers and allies.
The two branches share a great deal of rivalry and passive animosity against each other. From the FTSN's perspective, the FTMC are mostly extremists who are willing to go back on their own morals to advance a goal, whilst the FTMC view the FTSN as pretentious cowards who are not willing to take that extra step for the Republic. Despite the jabs and jeering done by both, they both hold a grudging respect and admiration for each other, and under combat situations, fight as if they were all united as brothers and sisters.
The FTSN rank structure is as follows:
Ensign is the lowest commissioned rank in the Free Terran Space Navy, given to recruits upon being inducted. (Access to fighters)
Lieutenant is a rank conferred upon ensigns that have proven themselves capable of not only space combat, but the rigors of officer training as well (Access to fighters, bombers)
Commander is the rank typically given to squadron leaders, and to aspiring officers who seek to make their way into ship command via gunboats. (Access to fighters, bombers, OR gunboats/gunships)
Captains of the Free Terran Space Navy make up the bulk of the main capital ship force, using their ships not only as fire support platforms and anti-capital ship weapons, but as command centers as well. (Access to cruisers/destroyers)
An Admiral of the FTSN typically exerts control over a large portion of her forces, usually commanding entire fleets into battle if needed, and are usually seen on Sol Colony as opposed to the frontlines. (Access to battleships/carriers)
There is only one Fleet Admiral in existence at any point in time, as the position is the highest-ranking of all in the branch, only equal to the Supreme Commander and other equivalent ranks in the other branches, all of whom work together on an equal level. (Access to all ships)
Economy and Merchant Navy
A recently developing sector of the Terran industrial machine is the Free Terran Merchant Navy (FTMN), made up of different traders gathered together under the FTR banner. The group makes use of most equipment readily available to the average Sirian independent trader, but has been spotted using Zoner Whales on more than one occasion. With the foreign relations of the FTR expanding rapidly, new ports-of-call and products to be moved around continue to increase in both number, and variety. Almost every Terran merchant leaves Omega-49 with the valuable commodity so many depend upon to keep their power sources and ships running, which is deuterium. The Republic continues to find new alternatives to this product, working on building production facilities aboard Sol Colony, and on Gran Canaria via the both privately and publicly-owned Terran Conglomerate. With new alternatives for export, ranging from simple consumer goods to small arms. Due to hard work of many within the Republic, the FTR's economy is steadily growing at a rate fast enough to be looked at favorably by some entrepreneurial investors.

1. What is your ID?
2. How did you got 500 thousand members in 10 days time?
3. Defend soveireignity - you do not have actually any territory as brand-new faction.
4. You list Mollys as kind of friendly, then listing them as neutral under "allies of Hessians".
5. Could you explain role-play behind your diplomacy by the way?
6. What tech are you going to use?

1. Forgot to mention Zoner ID and IFF.
2. It's a statistic presented ICly, with people who hold Terran citizenship. Citizenship itself is very easy to obtain from the FTR, and does not necessarily mean people living in any kind of FTR conditions. With a pool of people waiting on nearby Gran Canaria, multiple signup areas, and others who joined with the immediate formation, finding people was easy if it meant signing some papers and a simple background check. Basically, a skewed statistic to make the FTR look better in the eyes of others.
3. Once the station is built, yes. There was an OOC delay when some NPCs blew up the Base Construction Platform.
4. When it says "Allies of Hessians", it's more of a blanket term for any other group affiliated with them that is not mentioned explicitly otherwise.
5. Friendly- Given their similar motives of leaving House space, and their shared coexistence on the Edge and Border Worlds, the FTR views Zoners as friendly. Cultural similarites in regards to pre-Sirius ideologies, and Garza's previous experiences with the CR have led to an open attitude. The IMG are seen to be potential allies that may help to supply the Republic in the long-term, same with the GMG.
Amicable- Being neighbors with the FTR, and having no real conflict of ideology, the FTR wishes to benefit from having a shortcut into House space via the Mollys and Dublin.
Neutral- The FTR wishes to distance itself from the Corsair-Red Hessian conflict, and that of the Order and BHG Core.
Wary- The very nature of the FTR makes them distrustful of House organizations. Certain members are not willing to engage Nomads and their allies because of the danger posed, and the lack of benefit from doing so.
Unfriendly- Terrans generally dislike the actions of many unlawful groups in the Houses, and refrain from helping many of them.
Hositle- Apart from the intense hatred for Cardamine, the very idea of slavery, a trade so readily practiced by the Maltese, is an affront to everything the FTR stands for.
6. Mostly Zoner, with any civilian tech available being used as well. Later RP will be involved in the acquisition of any restricted ships or equipment.
(I would like to apologize for anything wrong with the faction info, such as missing gaps in information or inconsistencies. It will hopefully be fixed as it is made apparent.)
Well I already had a chat with you on Skype (not sure if you want to remain anonymous for now) about things and the write up looks good.
Even if it is a 'skewed' number, I still think 500k is a rather large amount. 100k would probably be enough and balances 'believeability' and actual importance of the group. Maybe start off the RP as a couple of steps back for the Republic, then as Sol Colony is finished you could have increased in size by then.
While stuff like the Zoners and your Neutrals would be obvious, I'd think anyone else would need to be RPed with. Talk with the Colonials, then set us to Friendly afterwards.
Also, who are these CL} folk? Not important enough to mention by far.
1) Why would you take the name "Terran"? What association do you have with old Earth that is any closer than the other inhabitants of Sirius?
2) Most of the people living on Gran Canaria moved there to live away from formalised institutions. What would motivate them to join your Republic?

1. The preservation of pre-Sirius history, notably Earth, is a very important aspect of Terran society, as stated in the introduction. An over-idealized view of Earth is present in the minds of many, often holding it on a far higher pedestal than Sirius. As such, in order to further separate themselves from Sirius, they have taken the demonym of Terran.
2. Many come for various reasons, whether it be the fact that their rights are more secure and less susceptible to being curbed by other individuals, wanderlust, expats from House space wishing to get back at the society from which they left, or to find new opportunities to make a name or profit for oneself via the more accessible economic environment. Each individual has a different reason for coming, yet most still believe (to an extent) in the Terran cause.
