ID:Kruger Board Of Directors To:Sirius Wide Topic:Omega 7 Mining Zones
To all parties who's business is involved within Omega 7 this is Kruger Minerals public announcement.
In order to protect our mining investments and secure our ore shipments we are forced to make certain steps.
Since the discovery of the new mining deposits in the F2.F3.G2.G3 sectors by the Kruger Minerals our company encountered many ore stealing attempts from the certain parties.
Therefore we are forced to put a legal claim on the above mentioned mining zones.
Artificial mining satellites with Kruger trans ponders are being instaled in the zone as we speak right now.
Our security wings are dispatched at the Elbich station as a security measure that this claim will be respected by other companies who has their presence in omega 7 system aswell, and that there wont be any foreign mining attempts in the fields claimed by our company.
--Kruger minerals is claiming the mining fields at the sectorsF2 F3 G2 G3.
--All other mining vessels with out Kruger identifaction card and proper transponder are forbiden to enter the red zone marked below with out permision of our company.
--All IMG mining, security and transportation vessels are forbiden to enter the red zone at any circumstances!
Any act of violation of these directives will be considered as stealing atempt of Rheinland property and it will be treated as such !!!

Gentlemen,
I must admit to feel a certain sense of deja-vu when this message appeared on my screen. Again, a corporate entity deciding to act on it's own, bypassing all authorities and asserting ownership. What Kruger describes as "stealing" is the simple de-facto situation of Omega-7: When Kruger caused the collapse of the accord that was previously in place (which assigned to you the mineral deposits you are now attempting to lay claim to) the division of resources in the system was voided, and became open to all. The Independent Miners Guild has since then, on occasion, made use of the resources in the northeast quadrant of the system - just as we have observed Kruger employees using the resources in the northwest quadrant, which we had initially laid claim to.
If Kruger wishes to return to the previously established balance within the system, where spheres of influence would seperate our respective operations and reduce friction, the Independent Miners Guild is open to sit down, preferably in combination with a representative from Daumann Heavy Construction, and discuss options - but a onesided claim announcement as this is not something we recognize, or respect. It has no basis in law as Kruger is not a lawmaking entity within Rheinland.
For reference, the previous attempts at establishing a concensus about the state of Omega-7: The Omega-7 Treaty of 817 - Drawn up to divide the region into spheres of influence to reduce friction, mainly between Kruger and the Independent Miners. Effectively ended when Kruger entered a period of internal unrest, and Daumann withdrew from this accord. The Omega-7 Treaty of 815 - Drawn without Kruger's inclusion and with the Colonial Republic as a peacekeeping force, it was eventually superceded by the above as times changed and the Colonial forces were needed elsewhere.
Regards,
- Johnathan Sanders, on behalf of the Independent Miners Guild

Guten Tag Kruger representatives!
The Board of Directors has reviewed your claim, and we acknowledge it.
Additionally, we would like to remind all parties operating in Omega 7, that the asteroid fields to the south of the trade lane were claimed by Daumann Heavy Construction a long time ago. Any non DHC vessels operating inside our fields will be treated as criminals.
With every mining group in the system operating inside its own claimed field, we believe there is no need to "discuss" anything.

Gentlemen,
It seems an informal agreement is being called for then. Very well. In the interests of the stability of Omega-7, the Independent Miners Guild will recognize both the Kruger and Daumanns claim to the northeast and southern resource deposits respectively, as long as your companies will both recognize our own claim to the northwestern deposits, located in grid C2 to D3. No firm accords, but we can agree to stay out of eachothers hair that way. Does this sound acceptable?

- Johnathan Sanders, on behalf of the Independent Miners Guild
